Didn't work for my 47" Insignia & I wouldn't recommend it for TVs over 40-45lbs

Didn't work for my 47" Insignia & I wouldn't recommend it for TVs over 40-45lbs, at best.
I've purchased Mounting Dream in the past and never had any issues. But this mount has some flimsy parts and is definitely not built for TVs weighing up to 60lbs. Mine weighs 49lbs and this mount just doesn't support the weight of it. When retracted against the wall, the TV is level; but the TV sags on one side when the arm is extended. Also, my TV keeps tilting forward--the weight of it forces the tilting plate open. Each time this happens, we loosen the bolts and return the tilt to 0, then tightly refasten the bolts (per the instructions). A few days later, the TV will be back at full tilt. This process has actually begun to strip the plate, which makes me nervous enough to just take it down. I'm outside of the return window so I'm stuck with a mount that is essentially useless.
My advice is to go with a beefier mount if your TV weighs more than 40lbs. Anything heavier than that is just pushing it and not worth the risk, IMHO.

Got it the same day delivery, saved storing the tv in the living room.. Its better then the other mounts because you can adjust the side to side position other mounts do not let you do this.. The tv mount slides on the wall mount left or right so you can have your tv exactly where you want it. The mount is not aligned with the bolts in the wall. (very important if you want a balanced attachment and look) so standard mounts will be 4 inches off on one side... Not for me I just moved my tv to the right 4 inches so now its perfect.. See those uprights in the description well they attach to the tv. The horizontal bracket mounts to the wall, see the wall portion is wider thats the distance you have to slide to one side or the other.. Just like on my monster tv in LR.. Love it... The only one with center wall mount(one stud) and an adjustable final adjustment.. So glad i kept searching for a wall mount... Kicker get a hdmi cable you probably forgot to get..
Solid, well built a great value.

I was hesitant to buy a TV mount that secured to a single stud. This was easy to install...especially if your brother does it fir you. The instructions were Crystal clear hard to come by these days. The hardware included screws, spacers, and washers for just about any requirement. I got the one without the extras as I had cables and a surge protector so I can not speak to their quality. As for the mount quality! The only caveat is that the vertical tilt pivot has hex key bolts rather than a handle so making that adjustment if preferences change is a bit of a challenge. My 50 inch TV only weighs 36 lbs so this one was overkill but an excellent choice and I am very critical of most items ordered online and am on a first name basis with the folks at the UPS store I return oroducts so often.
Better than You'd Expect for the Price

I've bought a couple of Mounting Dream mounts, and I'm more than satisfied. This particular mount of great because it makes it easy to adjust your television's angle vertically and also to swivel it away from the wall so that I can view it comfortably from any point in the room. Installation is simple, but I'll tell you right off that you can throw away the junky level that comes with the mount. It's such low quality that it simply isn't workable. However, you can adjust the television +/- 3 degrees after you mount it, so even if you don't get it perfectly level, you can adjust it after the fact. This is a great feature!
I mounted mine with the lag bolts that came with the unit. They're not the highest quality, but they're not the typical junk you get with most low-cost mounts.
Despite my five star review, this mount isn't perfect. After mounting, my TV is about 3" from the wall, a bit more than I had hoped. I also find the adjustment to be a bit stiff. However, for the price, this is a high-quality mount that lives up to what it claims to do and I would certainly recommend it.

OMG. What a great wall mount. I am using it for a 40 inch television, but as I was installing it I checked to see if it would fit my much smaller 21 inch monitor - it does. I will be purchasing a second bracket. Back to the 40 inch television - I wanted something I could swing out to view from the kitchen. This is great!!! It tilts in both directions laterally, I have not tried it vertically. And I love the swing out feature!
Mount it in a stud. Seriously. Anything else and it will simply fall out, ruining the wall and your television. Think about what your television weighs? As you move the television away from the wall, the strength needed to hold the thing up increases. A stud. You need a stud. Also, I ran the wires behind the wall and that worked out just fine. It comes with little velcro straps so you can keep the wires close to the bracket without them getting in the way of the motion of the bracket.
It doesn't sit flush against the wall because of that swing out feature but it sits close enough to the wall to not be visually bothersome or that you would notice it.
