I bought this in April 2017 for an upcoming trip. It felt cheap and flimsy. It came with a color cartridge, but I print primarily in black, so I ordered a black cartridge. The black cartridge doesn't work. It's brand new, but the printer doesn't recognize that it's installed. I install the color one right after and no problem. The scanner works intermittently, and had a bright yellow steak for several sheets, then a faded area where the yellow was. Next time I plugged it in and turned it on, no more faded area. The paper feeds crooked no matter how I place it in the feeder. I have to watch each sheet feed. I thought I could trouble shoot these problems by referring to the manual. Nope. It seems that I'm the only person that ever could have experienced these issues because none are very well, or at all, covered in the manual. It's a great size printer, perfect for traveling, but it's not worth the cost because it doesn't consistently work.

The Primera Trio is a three in one device, is light, looks cheap at first glance, but works so far perfectly. The plastic parts fit well. At the price of 400USD, including delivery to Switzerland, the battery is not included. After 2 test pages print, the included color cartridge according to Primera software specification still contains 90% content. The black color print, looks more gray with the color cartridge. On the test pages copy, the gray color becomes purple. The print resolution is very good. Scan and copy can only be made via the software from the connected PC. By LINUX I could not connect to it. Even not as default printer. But there are currently no alternatives to this device. Except perhaps the ancient Canon BJC 85. To reduce printing costs order direct black Primera 53377 cartridge. The European adapter is made too cheap. When unplugging from the socket, the European adapter break out and remain in the Swiss socket. Primera.eu denied the warranty. Meanwhile I have fixed it with glue. The 53377 cartridge arrived, works well. Bought it from eBay seller t333shirt , for 37.31USD. Fast delivery to Switzerland.
