The Elite Sportz Push Up Bar helped eliminate this wrist stress and the cyst is better, all without having to discontinue exercising
Sample S.•February 17, 2018
I developed a ganglionic cyst in my wrist from doing push ups and other floor exercises in which I hyperextended my wrists while placing my body weight on my hands. The Elite Sportz Push Up Bar helped eliminate this wrist stress and the cyst is better, all without having to discontinue exercising. They are light for taking on vacation, and sturdy enough to support my weight (135 lbs). I like that they swivel so that my wrists find the most comfortable position while exercising.

Short answer: I used them at my gym and liked them, so, I bought a pair for home. You won't have regrets; if you do, return them.
Recommendation: Also buy "7 Weeks to 100 Push-Ups" by Steve Speirs.
Long answer/story: I'm 71 and cannot perform pushups with bent wrists and hands on the floor nor can I easily perform dumbbell bench presses.
I've had a pair of metal pushup handles that have served me for years. The old pair that I have now trashed "¦ I had covered the metal tubing with foam pipe wrap, but still continued to have problems with my wrist and discomfort with my thumb pad (thenar eminence).
I saw the Elite Push Up Bars at my gym two months ago and was skeptical about them due to their short height, but I decided to give them a try. After using them four sessions, I decided to buy them for home: best purchase in a long time.
I've read a criticism about the "˜hard' rubber handle of the Elite Push Up Bars. I don't find that to be so. Though not cushy, I bought them because they do not elicit pain: The less rounded handle and the rotational base of the Elite Push Up Bars promote exercise with correct palm-wrist alignment. I could not perform 100 pushups per workout, albeit non-continuous, without the Elite Push Up Bars.

Makes Pushups Easier!
M. Smith•November 18, 2017
40yo F - I couldn't any pushups and got these to help make it easier to build up strength, faster They did help, I could do more pushups without hurting. I went from being able to do 0 pushups to being able to do 7 pushups in one month of biweekly sessions. I found that once I got some strength built up using these that doing regular pushups without them was easier to do too. I guess it gave me a chance to build up wrist strength more gradually without straining. They rotate well and are the right size. The only thing I would improve is to add some padding on the grips.
Doesn't help lazy.

Read some other reviewers who had indicated these helped some with shoulder and wrist issues preventing them fro doing standard pushups.
This is true, but it doesn't help the motivation factor, so I still don't use them as often as I should.
Otherwise, there is no benefit between this and a regular pushup, except keeping your wrists more ergonomic, and elevating you off the ground a little more.

bit cheaply made, bearings not as smooth as the original, nor is it as sturdily built. it works ok, but if you were to compare side to side with a "perfect pushup" the difference in quality is immediately clear. the jump rope that comes bundled with it is cheap as well.
