I bout this for my husband after he had a very serious bout of gout. As many people know, once you have gout it will come back and it can intensify. This was recommended on the Mayo site and he was desperate to try something as the prescription medicine does not agree with him. This does work and when he was having a bout he took it three times a day, otherwise he does one drop a day and drinks plenty of water all the time. I would recommend you to try this along with recommended changes in your diet to prevent gout.

I've was diagnosed with gout over thirty years ago and have taken a daily dose of allopruinol to control it. However, there have been times that I've had an acute gout attack and my first line of defense has been tart cherry juice. Other remedies have been colchicine (now known as colcrys) or naproxen to stop an acute attack. I have found Uricel works very well to stop an attack IF you take it as soon as you recognize any symptoms. My gout attacks start with the telltale pain in either toe or ankle and worsen over the next 24 hours.I like the fact that Uricel is a natural product and it is very concentrated so you don't have to take a large amount. I don't think Uricel will be able to stop a full blown acute gout attack so I always keep Colcrys and Napoxen in the house if I need a stronger response.

I'm not sure because I made a mistake of how much to take. I misread the directions. I thought it said to take 1 tsp three times per day. On my third day the bottle was almost empty. So I reread the directions and it said to take only 1/4 of a tsp that's a quite bit of a change. So I don't know if I took too much at once and did not allow to work it in over period of time. Does Uricel supposed to clear or flush uric acid out of the body? My doctor does not want to do a blood test for uric acid yet he thinks it's too early. But I'm curious if Uricel has cleaned up some of the uric acid? Please respond.
