Replacement works well with my set.
Davesdd3October 27, 2017
I use a indoor outdoor thermometer that has this as the outdoor sending unit on my travel trailer. I super glue a couple magnets on back and put it outside on awning or somewhere out of direct sunlight and rain. However, the transmitter range is only good for 30 feet or so. So when you leave it a campsite on the underside of the picnic table, it is quickly out of range.
Bought this as a replacement and it paired up quickly and works consistently.

I have preflight checklist and putting thermometer inside is now on it.
Perfect replacement sensor, but calibration varies
DavidOctober 12, 2017
This was a perfect replacement for the sensor I had that got wet and died. The capability to configure the sensor for a/b/c ranges is very convenient. I have a two weather stations that are just far enough apart that I can't use the same sensor for both. So, I configured one sensor for A and one for C and the weather stations operate independently from one another.

I did find that the calibration for temperature and humidity varies between sensors--sometimes significantly. In the same location the temperature difference was four degrees.
Could Be Better
KJAGOctober 5, 2017
The product works like it's supposed to, I just hope it lasts longer than the one it replaced, which began giving abnormally high temp readings after about 3 years, despite being located under a covering and away from direct sunlight. For quick and proper synchronization--before installing batteries, pull out the batteries in the receiving unit. Install the batteries in the transmitter, then reinstall the receiver's batteries.

The transmitter could be better designed in that it mounts at the top by hanging on a single screw (or nail) head, which makes it difficult to "lock" the unit down. It also lays directly up against the surface it is mounted to, so one begs to wonder if the unit's temp readings are not affected by the temp of the structure it is in contact with. (For comparison--another brand's transmitter is designed to overcome these issues. It has a separate mount that fixes firmly to the structure with two screws, and the transmitter itself firmly plugs into it for easy attachment/detachment for changing batteries. When attached, there is about an inch of clearance between the transmitter and mounting surface. It also comes with an easily detachable top protective cap, giving better protection and more options as to its placement.

I have several of these around my house to watch many temperatures. The batteries (AA) last for ages and the devices have been reliable. They work with AcuRite displays, or if you're nerdy you can use a USB SDR and RTL_433 to receive dozens of these. Despite only having 3 settable channels, they do each have a semi-unique ID so even on the same channel you can distinguish between multiple sensors.
easy replacement

This was a replacement for one that I thought had blown away in a strong windstorm, however after this replacement arrived I found the other one which when the batteries were replaced worked just fine, so I changed the setting from a- to b and hooked it up with another thermometer I had. The temps were very close in readings and seemed to quite accurate. Overall I am pleased with both of them
