These have really stood up to the use and abuse of time. I hike quite frequently on rugged trails. These have prevented me from taking a fall many times. They're also great for keeping balance and for keeping my elbows bent while walking. Will definitely buy again.

These are a great product, and at this price, they're a genuine bargain for the value you're getting. There are fancier and more expensive trekking poles out there. These ones, for example, don't have the shock absorbers or the springs that more expensive poles have. But these are quieter than the fancier poles, and they work fine for their intended purpose.

There's no two ways about it (pun intended?), but these poles are super, super heavy. I'm sad they are so heavy, but I used a gift card and already told my mom they were great. Sigh. I would avoid these, to spend a little more and get lighter weight poles.
Uncomfortable but sturdy... Needs modifications

I purchased these when they were on sale. I would not purchase them for retail price. The straps are very uncomfortable and can cause chaffing over a long backpacking trip. They have held up though through miles of hiking.
The handles are solid hard plastic. I had to modify them with tennis racket handle tape. I am 5'7" and they fit me but if you were over 6' they might be too short.
