Whether it works on stone or brick I don't know but it definitely works fantastic on concrete
Jeffrey mr. video✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 9, 2017
I've built the garage with new concrete use this stuff for years ago nothing has penetrated it

I put two separate coat on using a regular pump sprayer

Gasoline oil water nothing goes through the concrete what more can you ask for it does not change the appearance it just keeps water from soaking in the concrete and it's a penetrating sealer so what more can you ask for

Whether it works on stone or brick I don't know but it definitely works fantastic on concrete
does not come with adequate instructions, have to find on website

This product does not come with adequate instructions and critical information, which really irks me. And it is not "designed" to work on horizontal surfaces such as window ledges. 1) The label says, "Contact manufacturer for application recommendations ... Consult manufacturer for proper treatment recommendations ... Refer to technical data sheet for specific surfaces ..." Other than rainguard.com, there is no link to the instructions / technical data sheet. Search is made difficult because the UPC code 660041005039 & Model# CR-0356 has at least 5 Product Name Variations. I found the Tech DS instructions at rainguard.com/uploads/product_document/1482658007TDS-Microseal-NEW-2014.pdf. (Search for "1482658007TDS" ) The important info NOT shown on the label: Surface Dry/Recoat Approx 1 Hour; Do not apply if rain, snow, or lower temperatures are expected within 48 hours. Do not apply if relative humidity is greater than 80%.; If the product has already dried it can be cleaned off quickly with a rag, warm water, and a mild soap.; before using shaking is a good idea.;
2) Label says "waterproofer" and it says "Use on both horizontal and vertical surfaces" BUT "Clear water repellents are not designed to waterproof horizontal masonry surfaces such as ledges, sills, ..." So you can USE it on horizontal surfaces, it just isn't "designed" to work on them. I applied it anyway and have my fingers crossed.
Great Product - Beautiful Saltillo Restoration
freerangechicken✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 6, 2015
Awesome restoration. After treatment, water beaded up on the Saltillo tiles beautifully. FYI -- In the process I learned that such tiles can be wet sanded. After using the Micro-seal I used their urethane product for a clear coat, *** but did not add water *** . First coat had to be worked until enough of what little water was in the product began to evaporate and the coat adhered. Subsequent coats easier. End result awesome. Old acrylic approach was insufficient for external high traffic area. I expect the new surface to hold up much better.
Will rebuy when needed

Covered about as much as advertised. Applied immediately after pressure washing with regular 1 gal sprayer, and after 3 months of Florida summer I can tell the difference between covered part and uncovered. Next time I will buy enough to cover entire sidewalk and apron.
Repels water and sealed up my stone chimney!
MJR from Ohio✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 20, 2015
I have a 30 year old stone chimney that was leaking when it rained heavily. I had had a few issues in the past with it, and hired someone to attempt to fix it. A few months later I had problems again. I decided to take on the task myself. I spent a few hours filling any cracks I could find with "General Electric GE5020 Concrete and Masonry Silicone II Caulk." After that dried, I applied a good layer of this Rainguard Micro-seal with a hand sprayer. Finally I added a chimney cover to cover the flues. I have had no problems since. I cannot say for sure which product was the cure or maybe it was the combo, but I feel like they all added value.

When it rains you can definitely see the water behave differently on treated and untreated areas, similar to how water reacts to a windshield that has been treated with Rainx. When it rains, no water sticks to the chimney or surrounding roof area that received some treatment, it is repelled and runs immediately down and off. I am very happy with the product.
