We bought this as a gift for our 11 year old daughter and never tried it out ourselves till now. The cd player is almost useless! We payed more money expecting a better cd player, but it has a hard time reading the discs. And even when it does read them, it will often stop mid track. And as far as the bluetooth goes, I can't even connect my phone to it at all. I feel terrible that I didn't try it out before our return window. But I guess the least I can do is to make sure no one else makes the same mistake.
Do not buy to play from USB!

Do not buy it to play from USB. Tedious menu sequence and wait time to load make it unacceptable to play from USB flash drive.

The first one they shipped cam badly broken. They ship it in it's own box and the radio has zero protection in the box. It is wrapped lightly with bubble wrap and shoved into the box so the lightest hit will damage it. once I got the radio, I was very disappointed with the sound quality and volume. This definitely is not for outdoor areas such as the beach or park; you can barely hear it from 15 feet away. i gave it two stars because of the bluetooth and usb, but other than that, it is a Chinese piece of junk.

Purchased specifically to listen to books on MP3 discs. Delivered 6-10-16, opened 6-13-16 and stopped working 7-23-26, right after the return period ended; it worked for 41 days fromn beginning to end. First the advance forward control stopped working - OK I could live with that, but not happily. Then a week to 10 days later it would only play one file at a time before shutting off and resetting to the beginning of the disc. Can't live with that, especially since I cannot advance through the files to where it left off. I called about returning the unit, but was told it was past the return period.
I do have to say that for the approximately 30 days that it worked I did like it, especially having the earphone jack on the front of the unit as I'm bedridden much of the time and it's a lot much easier to plug in the earphones there.
