I rate this a 5, even though the directions for setup could be a bit more friendly, and I had a minor equipment malfunction. The service I received from Kelly from the warehouse was so exemplary, and solved any and all issues I may have had immediately. The unit itself works well, once I figured out how to set the resolutions and data flow rates properly. The zoom and pan functions are a bit archaic, but do work. Because I live in the country, no street lights or other sources of lighting, does not hinder the night vision at all. At 2 am, the picture is clear and easily sufficient to recognise animals as far away as 50 feet. Since I have yet to have unannounced human visitors, I cannot confirm the ability to identify a stranger, but it's easy to recognise family members who have been subjects for testing the night vision. Be sure to have a SATA II or higher speed hard drive to capture files. I added a 3 TB drive and it appears to hold 5 camera's operations for about 3 weeks before starting overwrite on older files. This works well for me, as I do not expect to be absent for more than 2 weeks at a time. (this is the one decision I believe is most important. If you plan on being on vacation for more than a few days, you need a hard drive of sufficient capacity to hold all the files till you get back from vacation... a good rule of thumb, 5 cameras use about 1 terabyte per week in my experience). I also ensured OVERLAP with one camera covering the other in case a savvy bad guy decides to cut the wires. This unit is NOT wireless. Once again, KUDOS TO KELLY. You did a great job in satisfying my needs as a customer.

So far I have two cameras on for 3 days recording. Its super easy to install but its hard to find time to do so. I have my two cameras on my second floor window. One its looking where my car is parked. I just recently suffer a hit n run while car was parked alone. No neigbor had surveillance camera working. So I had to put my camry fix on my insurance. This camera is great, it keeps a watch on my car. The pictures are so clear. I love this security system. In these three days one time the box froze but it turned back on right away. I will come back and update my post in a couple of months. I recommend you this system, and make sure to order a hardrive with it. My pictures show camera during day light and night dark time. It doesnt matter how dark it is thats how it looks.

I received my cameras and I do love them! they were on a scale of 1-10 for someone who has never installed cameras in there home a 7 on the easy scale. The picture is crystal clear and you can change it from SD to HD. I love the fact that you can take photos of the video and this does NOT come with a hard drive so I bought the recommended one and it all works so mighty fine. They are nice and small able to hide in different spots. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because the APP for on your cell phone is god awful slow(this is full service bars 100%) and does not work half the time. If you put it on your computer or TV screen it is lightning fast, real time movement AND speaker. Another thing is if all put a nat flies in front of the camera you will get a notification. I got 10 notifications on my phone within about 15 seconds. I had to shut it off because my phone were going off so much. Other than that these cameras are so freaking sweet for the price I couldn't have asked for anything different.

Now when punk kids mess with my front yard I will have the back up besides a rifle to defend it ! Thank you!

Garbage. I hooked the system up on my floor first, to test it out with one camera. Seemed fine at first, the video feed cut out a couple times, figured it was because I was moving it around. Then I install three of the cameras onto the exterior of my home, run all the cables, get it hooked up and it seems to be working. Then, one camera goes out, and comes back on, then all three loose feed, and come back on. Now I have only two working cameras, and they both cut out after about 15 seconds, come back on then cut out again.

I have an adapter for the DVR, and one used for the splitter to power the cameras, I swapped them out and still have the problem. I power cycled the DVR, still have the problem. I traced the cables to make sure they are not pinched, or have a staple thru the cable, found nothing. I even reset my DVR and the issue is still there.

I knew I should have spent more money on a quality name brand. I'm sure 6/10 of these systems work flawlessly, but I'm pretty sure I got one of the bad ones. I have not called customer support yet, I will updated this review, if I get anywhere with them.

Update
After writing my initial review, a support rep from the CCTV company contacted me thru email. They asked that I send a few pictures of my setup, and asked what troubleshooting steps I took. After providing them with that info, they will be sending me an upgraded 1080P DVR (I bought the 720P). We will see how the newer system performs.

This zosi security system is awesome! At 79.99 it gives great picture quality during the day and at night. Setup was simple by just running the wires and finding where your cameras will go. It didn't come w a hard drive but I had one laying around and used that. I just opened the box and plugged it into the provided SATA cables. I did run in to a few problems during setup but they were solved with a little thought. 1. The DVR system comes press to a lower resolution for a HDMI cable, so if u have a 1080 p or better tv, then you better find a 720 p tv to plug the HDMI cable into so you can see the screen to change the resolution.
2. The cameras come w 2 adjustments. The first is obvious for up and down or side to side but the second is the nearest screw to the camera itself. Unscrew this almost all the way out to rotate the camera in any direction then screw it back in to use as a set screw.
