- •SIZING & SENSORY DETAILS - The front side of the pendant features large bumps. The back side features small bumps. These different textures provide a varied sensory experience and lots of tactile input. Each pendant measures approximately 2.5 inches long by ⅝ inch wide by ½ an inch thick. With this size, most people can reach their back molars to chew (which is where chewing is typically needed the most, and where it provides the most proprioceptive feedback to the jaw).
- •VERY FIRM, BUT NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE - Each ARK brand chew comes in 3 color-coded toughness levels. This blue pendant is the toughest level - very firm (the most rigid) but still chewable. Although each person is different, this option is typically the best for moderate to avid chewers. Please note that no chew tool is indestructible. Because of the nature of the use, wear/tear should be expected. Intense chewing may be able to chew through / cause damage to it quickly. Not for aggressive chewing.
- •WHAT YOU GET: PENDANT + CORD + CLASP - This listing comes with 1 pendant on an adjustable cord with a breakaway clasp. The clasp intentionally breaks away fairly easily for safety purposes. The cord measures 36" from end to end. To adjust it to a shorter length: push the cord through one end of the clasp, re-tie the cord at the desired length, then trim off the excess cord). NOTE: the clasp and cord are NOT for chewing. Remind children to chew only on the pendant. Use should be supervised.

Great for keeping his mouth off everything else!

The extra extra heavy duty blues have held up to my constantly-chewing things son! It will wear away eventually, but we've discovered trimming off the parts that are breaking apart helps make them last a little bit longer. This lego-shaped on in a particular favorite of his. The only grip is the smaller ones on the back are (relatively) easy for him to scrape off with his teeth, and I don't always catch him before he tries to eat them. I know that's more of a supervision thing, but I sort of wish they had the 'regular' size bumps on both sides. They hold up much longer! Still a five star, as on the whole it lasts more than a month and keep him from chewing on other things.

I have a 3 1/2 year old son who we recently discovered had SPD. He always chewed on everything (literally everything). Once we discovered he had SPD I did a lot of research and came across these. All I can say is wow! This really really helps. You can tell it helps him greatly. Im not going to say he doesnt chew on other stuff anymore, but it is less frequent. I think with a little more time based on our early usage these will be one of his go to items for relief. It also makes me feel better knowing he has something safe to chew on. He looked at it funny when it arrived but I put it in my mouth and chewed for about 10 secs to show him it was okay and he took to it right away. If he isnt chewing it he brings it to me for safe keeping. Such a great product. Its a little pricey but worth its weight in gold for us.

I have an 8 yr old autistic son and lately he has started chewing on his shirt so I purchased this hoping it would help. It's a great size and it's good that you can adjust the length. Previous reviews said it was too firm. I didn't think so, I think it's just the right density. It's held up very well with my son. I recommend this to anyone who has a "chewer" like me
Great chew, Questionable clasp

My son chews on everything - his shirt, his fingers, pencils, pens... I wanted to get him something that would be a bit less problematic for his teeth. He also grinds his teeth when he isn't chewing. I got 2 Brick Stick Textured Chew Necklaces in my first order - one XT and one XXT. My son loved the green color of the XT, but he was able to chew the small nodules off the top of it quickly. He also likes the blue XXT. My only concern with these is that we have not replaced them several times because the clasp on the necklace doesn't hold well and when these are lost they are often picked up and taken home by other kids because they look like fun toys. My daughter found one being given away in her classroom after it had been dropped in the school. I would love to give this five stars, but since I have paid so much for so many lost due to the connectors I cannot.

I purchased this to help my son with some attention issues and nail biting. He was so excited! I showed it to the dentist and surprisingly he said it was fine for his teeth. It's held up REALLY well. Eventually I'll have to replace it but it'll be a long time till I have to do that.
