I got this to keep my dogs out of a closet with bifold doors where I keep a cat litter pan. I wasn't sure it would be effective on them since it's designed for normal doors but it works perfectly! My cats can squeeze in and out of an opening too small for my dogs. It holds up even when my big dog tries to open the doors.

We bought the Door Buddy to keep our German Shepherd out of the cat box. After many attempts and lots of money spent, I have to say I didn't hold out much hope for the Door Buddy. Boy was I wrong! This has solved or problem and we can happily say our dog has quit his disgusting habit cold turkey! One tip, after some trial and error. Place the door buddy high on the door. The only thing keeping it latched is a small hook that's easily displaced by a determined wet dog nose. I'd give Door Buddy five stars if the hook was a latch and only openable by someone with opposable thumbs.
Update: The Little plastic hook was no match for our determined 80 lib dog. The stickys stuck but the hook broke off. Bummer. Maybe they should make a tougher version for keeping out big kids and dogs.

This is a great product! It allows my door to stay open so the cat can get in and out of the room to access food/water/litter, but keeps the baby out of the room. I also like that the width can be adjusted and have found that very important as the baby figured out how to squeeze through the opening when it was at its widest. No problem, I just tightened it up some and now it's great! The only issue that I have found is that the door is occasionally blown shut when the windows are open and a breeze comes through, and sometimes the baby pulls the door closed, keeping the cat locked on one side or the other. I only with that there was a way this product would also include some removable part that could keep the door from closing fully when needed. For now I will use a cut piece of a pool noodle at the top of the door which will keep the door from being able to close.

I recently saw the idea of a latch for a door to keep the door from opening a certain width and realized what I have been missing from my life the last two years!!! This product just arrived and I can already tell it's going to make life so much easier. I've been using my laundry basket as a door stop to my room every night (my cat HATES closed doors, but I need to sleep with my door closed or slightly cracked), which worked but only until I had to empty my laundry basket--then my fat cat would push my door all the way open and I'd wake up during the night. I loved the design of this product. I got the light grey option to go with my neutral bedroom and it looks great. Such a wonderful idea and a great design. I've received curtousy emails from the seller informing me of the product and provided a point of contact should I have any questions or concerns. All in all, a great transaction.
