I LOVE this. although it was a gift for my husband. He always wanted one. I thought this would be a good one, since the reviews sounded really good. And it is. It reads very well . I highly recommend it

I am very impressed with this Barometer. Calibration is as simple as setting a watch with the instructions included with the unit. Correct barometric pressure is easily obtained from the Internet or the local weather forecast on the TV. I find the accuracy to be spot on. The unit itself is very attractive and comes with the setting key and mounting hardware. I would recommend this barometer to anyone.
nice looking working barometer

this barometer is more impressive in person then it shows in the picture. it looks more ' professional ' , less ' showey '.
it is also larger then it's picture might indicate. adjustment to my location and altitude was a sinch! all well and good. NOW does this $18.00
weather instrument work? will it show with reasonable accuracy the barometric pressure? the answer is in. yes this is a working barometer!
please note a few taps on the barometer case is not only a good idea to show the most accurate reading - it is necessary. i added this note on february 3rd 2017 ............ a hurricane passed just offshore southeast florida, where i am located this passed summer. my reading of 29.50 inches matched exactly with the official reading taken by the national weather service at that time

This is my second review of this item, as I have had it long enough to say it is accurate. Yes, you do have to tap on it to get the needle to move for small changes, but it is right on the money.
Works and Looks Nice on the Wall Too

On some days I feel strong, energetic, and mentally alert. On other days I feel tired, headachy, and every joint in my body aches. Eventually I noted that my feel bad days correlated with the approach of a low pressure area. Life is a little nicer when you have a logical reason for feeling low. So recently I purchased this barometer. It has a little setscrew on the back where you adjust the dial to the barometer reading reported by your local weather station. There's also a manual pointer you line up with the pressure indicator to aid in seeing changes. Well, the pressure pointer doesn't exactly go wiping around the dial. It's moved maybe 30 degrees back and forth while I've had it. On the other hand when I check with my local weather station, it verifies a correct barometric pressure reading. So now when I'm feeling tired and achy, I check the barometer hanging on the wall by my desk. By the way, it was reading 31 inches yesterday and right now it reads 27 inches, so the pressure is dropping like a rock, and the weather map shows a low pressure area heading this way. So that's why I'm writing this. Normally I sit by my computer and write software every day, but today writing this is all the energy I have.
