I was shocked by this. I currently have a Furminator for my medium length coat pup and I thought that thing was amazing with how much undercoat it would pull out. Still, the shedding was out of control despite it. So I thought I'd give this thing a try and I was shocked by how much more it removed. I can brush out my dog in half the time and he actually seems to like it now. With the furminator he'd act like I was pulling his hair out. I took a chance and I'm happy with how it turned out!

I love this product. I have 5 cats - all rescue and 1 that is outdoor and semi-feral. I've tried brushing her with regular cat brushes and have not had much success. She walks around continually as I try to brush her - one of many challenges with her. It's starting to warm up and I really needed something to thin out her massive coat. She loves this and even rolled to her back for me to brush her underside. She has a couple of pretty awful fur balls between her front legs and they are far too thick for any product to untangle but I am very encouraged by how much she is loving being brushed with this comb which has eliminated the smaller fur balls - now I just need to take some scissors to the two remaining larger ones. This is perfect for long-haired cats. I now am brushing her every day. I have been amazed by the amount of fur that has already been removed. What a difference already!!

I bought this for my fine- and long-haired Maine Coon. Initially, I was pretty sure it was actually cutting her hair because so much was coming off at a time with a very straight edge, but even if that is the case I'm thrilled because she has WAY too much hair. After combing the side she will let me comb several times, 1) it has stopped coming away with clumps and 2) she looks thinner! Whether it's cutting or just dethatching, it really is removing her matted undercoat. I sure wish she would let me brush her other side, and her belly!

I have a Sheba inu , triple layer coat , my daughter has the brother of my Sheba .... So you would think the comb would be equal , not so , on my Sheba , which has a slightly longer coat , the comb worked well ... The other Sheba with a shorter coat not as well. I have had a Sheba for 14 years and have found that this kind of comb is the only one that works well and not distress the dog by pulling to hard. I brush my dog more, so it is important that he enjoys it . I think this comb will get us through shedding time and be a pleasant experience for the dog. Sheba shed a lot and the only way to control it is with a good comb, I think this will do the job, the four stars is because it did not function as well with the shorter coat, it did work though.

So I have a couple Persian cats... I love them to death but omg the fur! Fur everywhere! Everywhere! Fur that mats no matter how much you brush them. Usually I have them shaved but at nearly $70 a cat plus tip... ouch. I am currently off work due to surgery and just don't have that kind of cash to shell out at the moment. So in comes this comb. Now I can say I did not have high hopes for this item. I've had similar products like this in the past that were lets be honest basically useless. So I saw this and it was about $13 on sale and I was like well what the heck. If it works it is cheaper than $200 for the groomer, or what I would have to pay a voodoo high priestess to chant and hope that the mats would disappear. If it didn't work oh well I'd be out $13 and would try the voodoo priestess next. It worked. Omg it worked. I recieved the comb this morning and decided to give it a try while I watched a bit of TV. I wish I would have gotten pictures... it looked like I had gained another cat from the fur and mats it took off. I'm kicking myself for not buyinh more at that price. Needless to say a few friends might get one of these as a gift. I can't say how this works for dogs, but on my long haired cats it worked miracles!
