Got this for an exchange student we were hosting for camping trips. First camping experience, he tied it to two trees. about midnight we get woken up by our friend saying there was a skunk and to calm the dogs down. mean while or exchange student was sleeping right next to the skunks. friend threw a rock and scared the skunks off. Hammock is a skunk repeller no smell on our kid.

As of right now this hammock is great. Nice and light and very easy to pack and very easy to set up. Pretty much just gotta tie the two provided pieces of rope to a tree and relax. Just search wone nice hammock on YouTube and you will fined my review on there as well, or search SC bushcraft backwoods on YouTube and you will find my channel with my video on it. It even withstood my knife on my belt and my multi tool on my belt. I suggest buying it and it's extremely affordable.
Great for quick set up camping, overnight homes, etc!

I bought this product for overnight hikes and camping, and I am quite satisfied. It is very comfy and you can even wrap the excess material on the sides around you like a cocoon. Overall I would definitely suggest this to others who are interested in their first hammock.
Pros:::
-SUPER portable, comes folded in a bag about the size of a textbook, weighing less than a pound.
-Easy to set up: at first, I had to look up "how to set up hammock" on YouTube, which totally just confused me. Instead, I threaded the longer Paracord through the hammock in a sort of Slipknot, and tied a carabiner on one side so I can just loop it around and clip it.
-Camo makes me feel safer: Since I live where there are a LOT of other campers and a lot of camping crime.. I feel a little safer hoping no one can see me.
-Tough: while the material is thin, it is very durable and has lasted through many unfortunate events, one of which being a tree toppling onto it. I don't think I will need to replace or stitch it up for a long time.
CONS::
-Thin: while the material makes it lighter and more portable, WIND WILL GET THROUGH LIKE NOTHING. You NEED a sleeping bag to stay in this overnight. Or at least a big blanket.
-Oddly tensioned: It may be the way I tied it up, but I was expecting the sides of the hammock to be the highest points of tension, like most hammocks. This is what makes them comfy. Instead, I found that the center of the hammock was the tightest and when you lay on it, turning to your side could put you on the ground because the sides don't have much tension at all.
Overall I am very satisfied with it and it does it's job well. For the price, this is an absolute steal. I bring it on every hike because its just so much more convenient than a tent and much more stealthy. I do wish I could figure out how to get it to tension like a normal hammock so that it is more comfy, but as I said, it does it's job.

nice looking, holds a lot of weight

My old fabric hammock broke and the grandkids picked this one as a replacement. It is nicer looking than the old one, and fit the straps I already had up. I don't care much for the rope they included and prefer adjustable straps so luckily I already had them. I don't use hammocks but the teenage grandchildren all like it though I was told they preferred the older one over this one. So I suppose it is just a matter of taste and they were used to the old one. What is nice about it though as it is light weight and yet it can hold 200 lbs more than the old hammock. It folds up into a tiny package and is durable.
Note: I much prefer hammock straps over the rope they included... but I am sure the rope would work fine also

What a nice portable hammock

What a nice portable hammock! you really feel secured in it, i set this up as an indoor hammock for the living room, and its fantastic to sleep in! Great for watching TV or just lounging with a laptop. it could be a little bigger perhaps. i dont feel at all like it will break with my weight. and the side pocket/bag is a huge plus, you can fit a few cans of beer in it and not have to get up!
i used metal chains instead of the provided nylon ropes just for my own security sake.
