Great smooth fabric texture on the outside, and then you can feel the gel on the inside. It's a bit firm but when you're really tense, you can unload a lot of pressure into it. When I'm upset or stressed or angry, I try to release my tensions into the ball. After a bit, I definitely feel a bit more relaxed from just letting that bad energy go. It's a great item to keep on desk or with you. I bought another because being a ball... well... my cats bat it around and it got lost, so I bought a new one. It's the same perfect quality too.
Also it works as a fidget toy too, I have ADHD and sometimes I just like to feel the gel ball squish. It's relaxing.

I have purchased several hand therapy balls. The advantages of this one: the cloth surface is more pleasant to the touch and doesn't feel like it will transmit germs as readily as other balls with a rubber or silicon surface, it is easy to squeeze but offers sufficient resistance to function as a therapy ball nonetheless and the colors are appealing to the eye. I keep this on the conference table at my office - people can't resist picking it up to squeeze it.

The Serenilite ball has been a wonderful aid for my adult daughter's anxiety issues. Her therapist had recommended a stress relief ball and after reading all the positive reviews of this product on Amazon I decided to get one for her. She has some sensory texture issues and I wondered if this ball would work for her but my concerns were unfounded: She loved the size of the ball which perfectly fit her grip and is very portable to take in her purse, yet discreet to use in public; I got her the blue-on-blue Serenilite ball and she has said the color is soothing. She also has commented positively on squeeze resistance of the ball as being perfect for her needs. She has shown this ball to both of her therapists who also tried it out and who both liked the feel of the ball and inquired about how to purchase them. So, definitely, this ball is the one to get!

Very nice Athletic ball for elderly mother for strength training to continue independent living. Even with my mother's inability to repeat the exercises as depicted (seemed to have cognitive issues which of steadily increased with age) ... I do see improvement with strength enough to open Ensure bottles with the aid of a nonslip gripper. Mobility of hands is my main goal as well as increasing warmth in hands. I think that for a normal average person this would actually be a better ball than what we're experiencing... She is unable to perform exercises accurately ... He really enjoys the small compared to her FORMER stress ball which she squeezed the guts out of which was sturdy plastic with possible sandlike interior.

These stress balls are very well made. I also received a follow-up email from the manufacturer giving me a one year warranty and a pdf showing a few simple exercises. I have used many types of stress balls in the past, both the hard chrome Chinese type and the soft rubberized ones, but these are, by far, the best quality I have ever seen and every bit as effective as the hard ones. They retain their shape and integrity after much use.
I am considering ordering additional balls to give to family & friends as presents. I wish they sold them as sets, as I prefer to use one in each hand while doing the exercises.
