I loved this wind chime for awhile. It seemed to be holding up, and the sounds it makes are very "classic wind chime", similar to the "prototypical" wind chime that seemed so prevalent in the 70's and 80's. I've included a short video to give a sense of the sounds this chime makes.
However, I'm now disappointed with this chime because it's basically falling apart. I do get very nearly constant strong breezes atop my hill, and the chime held up for awhile. But, the very function of a wind chime is to be knocked about by the wind to make the chimes, so if it cant reliably stay intact even with constant wind, what's the point? After a year of use, the wood support at the top appears to be bowing, and two of the strings with the smaller bells and metal tokens have fallen off. Additionally, the sealant/lacquer on the wood has been pretty significantly stripped by this point. This chime may be inexpensive, and unfortunately that cost-cutting comes at a price of
its own. I'll be replacing this chime, and spending more for better longevity.

These chimes are really beautiful. The pictures do not do them justice. It came with sections wrapped and tied off so as not to tangle and then wrapped again in bubble wrap. I put them on a spinner on my carport. So far only a slight breeze has come along but they sounded so sweet. I really hope they hold up for a while.

I put this right outside my large bow window hanging from the rain gutter. It has an attractive fullness which doesn't get lost by the size of the bow. The details in the bird and nest is great. It hangs level. It has two striker balls which help it to sound off even in lighter winds. I had wind gusts over 45 mph. yesterday and this took it in stride without getting all tangled up. My only slight disappointment is that the bells all sound the same, a high pitched tinkle sound. There is no real melody to be found.
