This one isn't bad at all
MilfordsMrFixItSeptember 16, 2017
I have used several brands and models of this type of thermostat. This one isn't bad at all. The settings are quite different than others and you have to set a range of temperature first, THEN you can easily set temperature changes. It's actually simpler to change the temperature set point on this model. Just a lot fussier when you have to set the range.
good units

These are pretty much professional quality hardware (having worked in a science laboratory for decades). I always wanted off/on controllers when I could use them - simpler, more reliable than proportioning controllers. One caveat - if you're using this to control a thermoelectric (Peltier) plate. Thermoelectrics do not like to be cycled - cycling is what causes them to fail - so you want to minimize the number of cycles and have to arrange the air flow in your TE cooler, and the sensor, so that the cycling rate is as slow as possible.
Works well

Used this to add cooling fans on the refrigerator in our motorhome and it works well. My only suggestion would be to make the face a little wider and taller so the cutout dimensions aren't so close.
After I received this T-stat I could not believe how well it worked and how easy it was to set

I do a lot of electronic repair for a living and ordered this T-stat to control cooling fans on a charging system. After I received this T-stat I could not believe how well it worked and how easy it was to set. I would pay twice the price for it. It is so good that I ordered two more to keep in stock . I would recommend it for anyone who wants a good 12volt T-stat that reads in Fahrenheit.
Very Satisfied

I built an off grid solar hot tub and used two of these to turn the 12 volt water pump on at 120 degrees and off at 104 to heat the water. It freezes here a few times a year and the collectors are made of cpvc so I used a second controller to turn the pump on at 35 degrees and off at 50 degrees to prevent freezing the panels. They both worked great. I was concerned about the way I was installing the temperature sensors in the collector so I contacted the company. They were VERY helpful and are sending an extra sensor in case I damage one with the installation. If there were more than 5 stars available I would check all of them.
