After looking at my history, I have ordered 4 of these pumps. Average 5 months apart. So that means I have replaced our heavy concrete fountain pump every 5 months. That's how long this pump last. Off at night, on during the day and never has the fountian gone dry... Trying a different brand!
Good price, works well. I would go bigger next time.

This pump worked right out of the box and ran constantly for about a month before I unplugged it for the winter.
If i were to purchase one again, I would spend the extra dollar and get the 291 GPH version PonicsPump PP29105: 291 GPH Submersible Pump with 5' Cord - 16W... for Hydroponics, Aquaponics, Fountains, Ponds, Statuary, Aquariums & more. Comes with 1 year limited warranty..
It's an extra 4 watts, but I think it would allow me to go a little longer between cleaning algae off the intake.

Super powerful and quiet pump. I needed replacement pump for indoor fountain that needed to start out going 4 feet vertically and this one did so easily. Reading all the charts provided by so many manufacturers made no sense to me so eventually I just made an educated guess and was spot on. I'm sure I could have dialed it back a model or two but having 4 other indoor/outdoor fountains I'm sure this experience will pay off in the future, Pump works great was priced fairly, built solidly, and arrived quickly so that is all anyone can ask in my opinion. Also comes with 3 adapters to accommodate other tubing sizes. PEACE OUT

I do aquaponics with these pumps. My rig uses ebb-and-flow which means the pump is on for 5 minutes, and then off for a few hours.
The first pump I bought from Ponics worked well for almost two years. This one croaked in 3 months. So I rolled back to the first one, which I had replaced with the PP09205 because I thought bigger was better. Guess I was wrong. But caveat emptor, these pumps aren't very expensive and I'm not surprised the second one died. Even though I'd buy it again, I'd do it with the expectation that they might die at any time... like cheap computer hard drives.

This little guy is so powerful for being so small! Wow! I love that you can adjust the flow of water coming out of the pump. Perfect for my application. Also instead of sticking the little suction cups on the bottom of the container, making you have to submerge your arm up to your shoulders, I turned it sideways and stuck it on the side and it is so much easier to access for adjustments.
This little guy is absolutely perfect for small ponds and fountains. Would definitely buy again and I recommend it highly. Also thanks for the quick delivery.
