This product was recommended for muscle inflammation by one of my tennis coaches. I was looking for something in a quick and easy capsule form to take for muscle pain. I was looking for something with Ginger and Turmeric because the NSAIDs upset my stomach. I have a Ginger root and Turmeric root based homebrew which is very effective for inflammation, but the preparation is messy and slightly time-consuming.

Zyflamend contains concentrated extracts of Ginger, Turmeric, and Rosemary to fight inflammation. I was taking two capsules per day, as recommended, after eating a light meal. I found Zyflamend to be effective for muscle inflammation. Unfortunately, the main ingredient in this product is a Rosemary extract which was upsetting my stomach as much as the NSAIDs. I could smell and taste Rosemary on my breath for hours. I swapped the pain of inflammation for a new pain in my stomach - heartburn. Strange, I have never had a problem with the whole herb Rosemary.

I am back to using my homebrew which is more effective then Zyflamend, but not as convenient. If you can tolerate the concentrated Rosemary extract this product may work for you.

Okay, I REALLY like these. I'm a skeptic, but desperation increases willingness, and after I figured out that some herbals actually are effective (camomile and stinging nettle are also super effective for me. Most herbals, not so much), I'm more wiling to try some things.

First I had my amazing and wonderful pharmacist check every last ingredient for interactions. They said it's likely to work, but I may have some of the same problems with it that I do with NSAIDs. I can't take NSAIDs but rarely anymore because taking them forever eroded my stomach lining. I take these rarely now to avoid the same problem.

Pharmacist also said I should absolutely not take them for 3 days before diflucan (anti-fungal) or something like five days after. So, that's a thing.

I am not providing medical advice except for this: CHECK WITH YOUR PHARMACIST. And doctor, I guess, but I think pharmacists know drugs better.

Oh, maybe you wanted to know how well it works. It works very well for me, as well as mobic (an NSAID) or better for chronic back pain and really achy joints.

Wow! Now you people are going to get my opinion!! I have been taking this product for many years --- maybe 7? In any event, I was having trouble with my right hip after a traumatic fall outside watering plants. Long story short, I went to my orthopedic surgeon for my shoulder injury after my MRI, and I told him -- I may be back because my hip is bothering me too. He said, "Well, let's just ex ray it." After the ex ray he asked me --- HOW ARE YOU WALKING??? YOU ARE BONE ON BONE???" I told him-- One step at a time!! Now I am not to say that this product takes away all pain. I have had a hip replacement because of the fall. I also have a shoulder that should have a REPLACEMENT!! However, I have a special needs child with mental illness that I drive everywhere. There is no time for that kind of surgery when you can't drive for 6 months!! I wish you could see me move my shoulders!! I walk, and have not arthritis anywhere else in my joints -- which is unlike my lineage. All I can tell you is that it has worked long term for me. It is not cheap -- but so well worth it --- and BTW, I am 72, and have not had any practice being old, and don't plan to start now!!!

Amazing for acid reflux and achalasia.I take two daily. It has literally changed my life and enabled me to sleep better (along with a better diet, stress management and a ramp pillow). This product is the hinge to my life's improvement over the last two years. I am very thankful to find this product and I can't stress how influential this product's performance has been. If they ever consider no longer producing this, I fear the process in which to find a replacement. I have experimented and have yet to find an alternative - cheaper or more expensive. Thank you New Chapter for creating this product and I beg you to continue manufacture and sell this product to me.

The new formulation just doesn't agree with me. I used this product for several years when I first hurt my hip. I felt so much better even my sinuses were less stuffy! The only problem I had was some acid reflux.
But the last two times I've received what I guess is the new formulation and it's like a paste inside the clear capsule. When I take it I get pain in my right side near where my gallbladder used to be! I know it's not good for people who have gallstones but I don't. I also don't notice it helping my inflammation like before. I hate it,but won't buy it anymore. Life Extension has bio curcumin that helps, but not as well as the old Zyflamend.
