Easy to Use and Easy to Install
GinaK•April 3, 2017
So far we have only had one issue, and it was solved by cleaning the disk. This player is easy to use, and we have watched several non-USA region disks (purchased through Amazon) without any issues. The player was also very easy to install, but this is my second BDP player -- the first was not multi-region. Multi-region is great!

It's a very good unit that has the latest programing for streaming and the major movie/TV/sports channels. The DVD HD player is very good. It is intuitive and easy to set up. Had no problems at all. I would recommend the SONY BDP-S3200 to any one. I'm very happy with y purchase.
A whole new world of entertainment!

The up scaling theis machine does is amazing. There is a huge improvement to DVDs and even SD video from a USB drive looked good. So far we have used BluRays and DVDs from the US and Europe (and some region 0) and they have all worked great. The DVD region switching is automatic, though to switch Blu ray, you do have to power cycle the unit and follow some easy instructions.
The added Web Apps for online content all worked flawlessly. I even got it to work with an Adesso wireless USB keyboard. It popped up a message saying the device I attached was incompatible, but I just dismissed that and it worked fine.
Finally, having the remote App on an Android smartphone makes searching for videos a breeze because you can use the phone keyboard.

I wish I could give this more stars, but I'm prompted to write this review because after ten months of this player working as advertised, suddenly it will only play zone 1 discs. This is frustrating as I just returned from a vacation in London where I purchased several videos. In the questions and answers section for this product the seller implies that software and firmware updates shouldn't affect region-free play, but I am dubious. On the seller's web site they claim a lifetime region free guarantee and support. I've sent them a message via their contact form and am waiting for a reply.
It would be helpful if it were clearer in the product description that the multi-region feature is an after-market modification made to the product by the seller. Sony does not make multi-region players and does not support modifications to make their players multi-region.

The player played all regions of discs and blu-rays flawlessly. HOWEVER, streaming was another story. I have 120 mb internet so I know that speed wasn't the issue but I had alot of trouble with Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming. I also had issues with using the player to stream video over my home network - both with a hard wired and wireless connection. I just don't think that it's built very well for those particular uses but if all you want is a good multi-region player this is a good option.
