Bought this for the 2005 Acura MDX.
Installation was straightforward. After prying out a edge of trim you see a few sheet metal bolts at bottom and center plus two screws at top corners. I used a 8mm socket and Phillips screwdriver to remove fasteners. The cable plugs in in back near bottom center and fit perfectly. The cables I fed through opening on right where a space behind and above glove box allows enough space to route everything in to glove box or you can probably attempt to loosen console and route it up in the stash box under radio. It is possible it will reach the cup holder area

I am so happy to have found and bought this item. I used the panel popper kit recommended with this item to install it in my 2005 honda accord, it took me like 10 minutes to do and has good sound quality. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that during quiet parts of songs or in-between tracks I can hear a whining noise that fluctuates with my acceleration, it is low and easy to ignore, but definitely noticeable.
