Honeywell CS is horrible... READ before you purchase
J lewis•January 17, 2018
Had this POS for a year and the WiFi card in it went bad and was rendered useless. You can only control it from the actual thermostat. Until then, it was amazing. We programmed it and it just sits in the background and does it's thing. Honeywell's customer service is HORRIBLE! They told me that unless a HVAC dealer installs the new one that it would only be warranted for 1 year. As opposed to 5 years...so let me get this straight... I have to pay a dealer $75.00 to literally clip the thermostat onto the wall.. if it breaks again, I will just by a unit from a different brand.. Honeywell has proved to be extremely difficult to deal with. Not to mention it took 6 phone calls and 3 hours on hold to actually speak with someone. They are supposed to be sending me a replacement unit so we will see how long this takes or if it even shows up. The worst part is I purchased two (zones heating) of these $400 at the time and this is the type of service you receive. Horrible company!
The best thermostat I could have ever bought
Haven Maven•January 16, 2018
Easily the best thermostat I've ever had in my office. Allows me to boot up the air or heat remotely, saving me money and hassle. The phone app works like a charm, and you can access all functions (except for the functions reserved for the actual thermostat, like changing the LCD screen color) from the app. I can now leave my office at a basic low temp in the winter when I'm not there, and adjust the temp manually or change the schedule to suit the times I meet with clients; I no longer have to "pre-warm the office" before I need to be there.
Another great thing about it is we didn't need to subscribe to any service to use it (like the Nest or others). That was a big deciding factor since we don't have or want an "Alexa" house.
Installation can be a bit challenging if you don't have some electrical experience, however. My husband installed it using both Honeywell's instructions, and a YouTube video that worked step-by-step through creating a jumper for the heater (which in our case was necessary - your system may not require it).

So far I love it!

Update - 1/1/2018. All of a sudden the app stopped communicating with the thermostat. The thermostat still worked fine, but the app stopped reflecting what was on the thermostat, and I was unable to control the thermostat with the app, even though it appeared to be working fine. There were messages on the app about it not working, but nothing of use except to call a phone number. It started working again after checking several hours later, without having changed anything. Maybe that's normal. Still really like this unit though.
Just installed this a couple of days ago and so far I love it!
Installation was pretty easy - the holes from my old bracket lined up with the holes on the new one, so a clean/easy physical install. The terminal labels aren't the same as my old panel (which isn't really that old - new with our HVAC installed a few years ago), so it took just a little brain power to figure out where a couple of the wires went. I accidentally hooked up the heat wire to the 2nd stage instead of the 1st when initially installing, but pretty quickly realized it when I wasn't getting heat from my vents while the heat was on, so that was a quick fix.
The connection to wireless was easy and worked right away. The panel is SO easy to read and program. It's very user friendly and self-explanatory, although for some people there might be a question or 2 about what to choose during the initial setup (basically what kind of system you have). If you aren't sure, some quick google searches or your HVAC documentation can help you figure that out.
It's also extremely easy on the eyes. The biggest complaint I had with my other panel was that it was VERY difficult to read. This one is clear and bright, and has a lot of colors to choose from.
The app is also great - it's just as easy/clean as the unit itself. Connecting it to the unit was also quick and easy. I love being able to see what's going on remotely and change it from wherever I am.
Also, this until has an "auto" feature, which my old one did not. This is another reason I purchased, along with the clear display and wireless functionality. This until turns the heat or air on to get to your desired temperature, as opposed to only allowing heat or cool. The 3-degree window of that auto feature may take a little playing to get it just right for you needs, but it's understandable why it's done this way - for efficiency.
It was also easy to get it connected to Alexa. I don't see myself using Alexa that often to control it, but it's a nice option.
As long as the until lasts, I don't see why I will have any issues with this long term. Great deal at $160!

I had a Comcast thermostat before installing the Honeywell TH9320WF5003. With the Comcast thermostat it took you traditional 4 wire setup (Y1,G,W1,Rc).
The Honeywell wiring needed an extra wire for the 24VAC. My house was new enough that there was an extra wire that was already included in the line. I simply turned off the power to the furnace and connected the extra wire to the "C" port on the furnace and the "C" port on the thermostat and everything works great.
It joined to my network just fine and the interface is very simple and easy to use. I can change things from my computer, my phone, or even the device.

DO NOT PURCHASE FOR DIY HOME INSTALLATION!!!

Buyer beware - I purchased this product on late May 2016 and it worked perfectly and we could not have been more pleased with it. In February 2017, we came home to find that the units display was off and our heater was not turning on. We were in the middle of freezing nights in NJ. We had to get someone to come out to replace the unit. Upon reaching out to Honeywell, I am told the unit I purchased from Amazon is the professional install model that carries a 5 year warranty and if not installed professionally and could provide the necessary documents of the installation AND to prove it was defective - they would not stand by their product. They mentioned they have a do it yourself model that carries a 1 year warranty. I feel this should have been spelled out better by Amazon in the product description.
