Warm, dry, and great grip.

I bought these for my trip to Iceland. I did silicone them and hiked 7 miles a day over rocky, icy terrain. The weather was snowy, rainy and windy.
The shoes were great for the lava cave. The entrance was steep, icy and the cave was wet. These shoes held tight to the ground and I did not sllp or fall as many of the rest of our group did. We hiked thru deep snow and wet hot spring areas. I was the only person with dry, warm feet. I love these shoes. (PS I am way over the hill in age. This shoe is great for the over-the-hill gang)

After reading reviews, I opted to buy one full size larger than what I normally wear and it fit perfectly. I was very happy with my purchase, I used it on a 4 day hike to Machu Picchu on the Inca trail. No issues, slight blistering on my toes and on the heel but I think that was attributed to the socks. It was pouring rain one day and the boots were completely waterproof. The only thing was that when it was raining, I did slip a few times on the wet rocks so not sure if the grip is the best. Overall very comfortable and would recommend.

I ordered these because I'm chaperoning my 6th graders eco camp field trip. I got this pair for myself in yellow. All of the other reviews are correct in that these run very very small. I read the reviews and grudgingly ordered a size 7 which I have never ever in my life needed to do. I'm a 6w or a 6.5 depending on the brand. These 7s fit close to perfectly. Enough room for a good sock.
Now I'm not going to lie and tell you these are really comfy. They aren't in my opinion. But they will do the job of keeping my feet dry in mud and puddles, or so I hope. I'll be back to update my review as I said. If they work out I will replace the insoles with something better and use them for camping when I take my girl scout troop camping.

I purchased these boots before my trip to Ireland. After reading reviews I bought them half a size larger than I normally wear. I wear a 7 in women's shoes. The 7.5 I purchased (while wearing hiking socks) worked very well for me and are very comfortable. I loved the color I chose and as a person who had a minor ankle injury this year these boots when laced properly really felt good. I barely felt my bad ankle. I recommend these boots to anyone as long as you truly know what size you wear and purchased them half size to one size larger, but only because of the socks.

Based on other reviews, I bought a size 9 instead of my typical 8(womens). They fit perfect. My husband and I are going to the smoky mountains this weekend and I know these will be perfect for hiking in the mountains. I have worn them around the house and the neighborhood as well as well running errands to ensure they are comfortable, and they are perfect. They might even be more comfortable than my gym shoes. I would highly recommend These boots but encourage you to purchase a full size bigger than normal. They would get five stars from me if the size were more accurate.
