Honestly I thought that these shoes would be too snug and not work as well as I'd hoped for hiking but I was wrong. I love the clorts. I went hiking for two weeks in iceland with them and they held up wonderfully. Even climbing 80 degree grade rock I felt safe in my footing. I highly recommend the Clorts especially for the price! Also they hold up great when walking through shallow waters as well.

I am just back from the Grand Canyon where I did several long hikes - the longest 81/2 hours. These boots were just perfect for everything I did during 5 days there. They held up great, fit great, and never once did my feet hurt. No blisters or bruises. Love them and will probably buy another pair.

I ordered these because I'm chaperoning my 6th graders eco camp field trip. I got this pair for myself in yellow. All of the other reviews are correct in that these run very very small. I read the reviews and grudgingly ordered a size 7 which I have never ever in my life needed to do. I'm a 6w or a 6.5 depending on the brand. These 7s fit close to perfectly. Enough room for a good sock.
Now I'm not going to lie and tell you these are really comfy. They aren't in my opinion. But they will do the job of keeping my feet dry in mud and puddles, or so I hope. I'll be back to update my review as I said. If they work out I will replace the insoles with something better and use them for camping when I take my girl scout troop camping.

These are great shoes. I wear a 7.5-8 and was worried the 7.5 wouldn't fit (it was the only size available). It fits great, they're comfortable, and they look good. I haven't gone hiking for too long yet, but I'm sure their comfort will hold up!
