This is the controller you've been looking for. I have used several and this one kicks butt in every way. Sturdy metal construction. Very responsive remote with an insane range. I can be inside and it reaches outside through walls! My favorite part is the audio plug connection so it can respond to music being played and ignore whatever noise is around it. Lastly, customer service is very quick and helpful so if you do have trouble they take care of you. I paid $16.99, but I like it more than those twice the price.

I loved this! I had a cheaper plastic sensor that came with my RGBW lights and it worked fine for a while but then started to go bad. I replaced them with these after verifying they would work and to my amazement these are 100x better! Really glad I tried this out! I'l actually be ordering another one for a second pair of lights I have.

I am reasonably happy with this. My last LED controller died after a bit less than a year outside and so I needed something new. This one is RF instead of IR and so the controller is more responsive to the remote. I do not have to stand right on top of it to turn it on and off or change the modes. The sound sensor can be adjusted both manually on the controller and further adjusted with the remote. I like this, I was able to adjust it to my liking. Currently the sounds from the fountain nearby and the very loud crickets in the yard cause the colors to change. To keep it from weathering as fast as my previous controller did, I have been bringing it in when not in use but I may get around to creating a sealed enclosure for it.
I would still really like a controller that would let me pick my own color sequences but for that apparently I need to learn Arduino and make my own.

works as described. sensitive enough to activate lights from just my TV on 20 feet away. I tried to open up so I could tap into mic wiring to add a 1/8 inch jack but no cando and improved mic not even needed. seems better made than others.

This is awesome!! Bought this to wire with our music player behind the t.v. now when we play the music, the lights change colors in rhythm to the beats. Great party accessory but I enjoy it by myself too.
