I thought these would be the regular sized gable boxes... buuuut they were mini. Only complaint was that i didn't pay attention when ordered, but the boxes are super cute! I will be buying again, only regular sized..

I needed about 20 small gifts so I filled these darling boxes with yummy chocolate truffles (Alter Eco Truffles are excellent quality, has 5 flavors and the box can fit 5-10 of these, depending on how much you want to budget.) I made boxes with 10 truffles each.

Here is how to fold the box (some folks have struggled with that aspect)
1. Open up flat pack in to rectangular shape.
2. On the bottom, fold in the long side with the indented cut out first.
3. Fold in the two short sides and tuck their tabs into the indented cut out of the first fold.
4. Fold in the last side with the outdented tab and tuck into the indented side.
5. Fill with your goodies.
6. Punch out the long skinny cutouts in the short sides of the box tops.
7. Fold down the partially cut tabs in the middle of the long sides of the tops.
8. Fold down the long sides of the tops, tucking in the previously folded tabs inside the box.
9. Hold the already folded long sides by the little handle in the middle, while folding down the short side tops and pull the rounded tabs from the long sides through the long skinny slots of the short sides.

It makes a tidy little purse like box with a handle. So cute! I used the striped or chevron styles for men as they look more masculine.

Extra Touch:
I bought the gold and white tissue in polka dots and stripes. I used the striped tissue with the polka dot boxes and the polka dot tissue with the striped boxes. Either tissue with the chevron boxes works. To fit the boxes, I cut the tissue it into thirds along the folds, to get three long strips of tissue from each sheet. Then folded in half to get a 15" long piece, folded again lengthways to get an approx 3" by 15" strip. This I folded once more to make half as long (3x7.5"). Then inserted into the box before putting in the goodies to give a fancier presentation. Here is a link to that tissue from Bagsource:

I purchased these for my daughter's baby shower. I had a number of uses in mind to go with the gold decor theme. They didn't work for any of my ideas...too small to serve much purpose.
