My daughter started having extreme reactions to mosquito bites, so I researched like crazy for a safe and convenient solution so that she could go outside again. I bought several natural options and we are happiest with these bracelets. My daughter (2yo) is happy to wear them and she knows that she has to have one on before she goes outside (which she can do herself). If the mosquitoes are especially bad, we add another to her ankle. So much better than gross sprays and they really do last. We seal the bracelet over night and then she wears it all day long. Each one lasts at least 4-5 days... it may be longer, but I play it safe and replace once the smell is all but diminished. And speaking of the smell - I find it quite nice and not in anyway overpowering.
When she has her bracelet on, we are completely bite free! I wear one when I am outside now and it is probably 85% effective on me, so adults... wear more than one or if mosquitoes are really bad, use something stronger. These are GREAT for everyday use and especially great for kids.

I enjoy the smell of the product and the convenience. I also appreciate that it doesnt contain lots of harsh chemicals. Sadly, it didn't do a very effective job at repelling any bugs. I still was bitten many, many times whenever I was in an area with lots of mosquitos and some of them were bold enough to land right next to a bracelet and bite me. I had to wear LITERALLY all ten of them at once (two on my neck. two in my hair. the rest on my arms and legs) to get the bugs to leave me alone somewhat and still I was bitten every now and again while wearing all of them. I ended up jut buying some toxic bug spray thats full of deet unfortunately.

I really like the idea of this product. I dislike spraying bug spray all over myself so a repellant bracelet is ideal. As an adult, this works really well. I can put this on my wrist and be good to go.
For kids, not so much. I have two five-year olds and a three-year old and they couldn't stop playing with the bracelet. Soon the bracelet was so stretched out that they could no longer use it as it was too large. A shame, too, because this promises to last 250 hours - clearly more than one use. *Keep the plastic casing to store these in between wears.
In addition, my youngest wanted to chew on his bracelet which made me all kinds of nervous and I resorted to bug spray for him.
So, great product for adults and older children.

I bought these based on the reviews. I just took these camping and there were a lot of mosquitoes; these did not help at all. I could smell the citron on the bracelet, but I was bit right next to where the bracelet was. Thank goodness I brought other bug spray. If you want all natural, there are better things out there like coleman's natural bug spray.

This was a great deal i couldn't pass up as I was going to Hawaii for a friend's wedding. The effectiveness of this thing however, is questionable. It may be effective only within a 1 - 2 ft radius of where you put it. I tested it by actually going near some bugs and flies and they did seem to repel from it. It says put on ankle or wrist, I did it the wrist and got bit on my legs, and when it was on my ankle I would get bit on my head and arms. So maybe I was supposed to wear it on both at the same time, ankles and wrists? Maybe it is best for kids. I tried going in the ocean with it but it slipped right off with the waves. A great deal for the price, but I think its most effective for kids and toddlers, even though it says must be older than 3 years old to use it.
