Good luck connecting ALL your devices.

Horrible device, read the problems on their site forum that range from firmware update in 12/17 that prevent various products from connecting to constantly having to reset the device. If you don't mind having to do a lot of troubleshooting this device is for you. Me? I don't have the time. Did I mention that the help desk said it wasn't the firmware update and told me to call Microsoft to find out which ports needed to be opened, because that is what they tell everyone who calls in with that problem? If it has been an ongoing issue why would Linksys retain that information? Then was told that I could pay a monthly fee to have him remote in and do the updates, um no and no. He walked me through the process and it took out the connection to the devices that were working properly. So had to restart/reset and start set up from the beginning.
Please note that company sent email with offer to win $500 gift card for a good review. I have more integrity than to give a rating they don't deserve, wish I could say the same for all those who came before me and artificially hiked the rating which influenced my decision.

Really improved my Download and Upload speeds.

I thought the problem was my internet service provider.
A dozen or more times a day, my video streaming speeds (both download and upload) fell below 1 (one) MBPS (Megabytes Per).
Often they were both registering in the KBPS (Kilobytes per). Streaming would STOP in mid video.... message would come up about 'band width too low'. Very frustrating.
I did some reading about Wi-Fi in places like Apartment buildings (I live in an Apartment).
I had and old Wifi router... so I took a chance on the new Linksys AC5400 Tri Band.
I now am regularly above 30 MBPS for download speed. I haven't had a single KBPS result in my speed test.
Top speeds for download often are well above 50 MBPS.
I don't know anyone in town who gets 100 MBPS (what the ISProvider advertises)... so I think they are just not providing what they promise.
It also helps to enter the Google DNS Settings 8.8.8.8 on the first setting. 8.8.4.4 on the 2nd setting.
Yes I am pleased with this router.

AAA+++ Awesome Router. Note; I did spend a good part of a day if not two days researching routers, from "Reviews" to "What's in side" and "Bench Testing Results". My Results showed me mainly 2 Routers and a couple of close Runner-Ups. Keep in mind; one of my main Points it had to pass... "Is it ready for the near Future?
Built for power, built to take a beating...really well designed, especially the ports and WPS button. It has a good amount of weight to it due to the heat sink and is on the larger size but sits perfectly on my shelf.
The antennas are large and solid, preset lock positions if desired and again well designed. Owned now for a few weeks...works as expected, no problem setting it up...it was actually a breeze. Configuration is user friendly including the more advanced settings.
No problem handling more the 13 devises and the range is good...much better then the D-Link it replaced. I love how it automatically switches from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz when I move out and into range. I do plan on adding a (matching - Linksys AC1900 Gigabit Range Extender) extender in near future for outside coverage.
The second router I pick and Tied in 1st place; NETGEAR Nighthawk X6S AC4000 Tri-band Gigabit WiFi Router.
The reason I picked My Linksys Max-Stream AC4000...The Antenna Design and the design, configuration of the ports.

I had an older router that "could" handle speeds up to 300 mbps along with my modem as well.
I have 150 mbps download speed package from cable company and hard lined I was pushing 130's..but WiFi...
Yeah so I have a 1700 sq ft ranch with a full basement...so it ping pongs all over but even standing right over the old router I would only pull about 90 mbps.
So i spent waaaaay too much time researching routers and went back and forth, fretted over half a dozen top 10 lists in this price range...finally just went with this one for two reasons.
The Tri-Band setup where it has more channels to unload wifi devices so you don't bottleneck your speeds by jamming up two channels and the fact that you can use the setup to link your devices to it and then select which ones you want to get the 5 ghz channels ( there are 2, tri-band for the win ) and which ones you may leave on the 2.4 ghz.
With this router I push 180 mbps hard lined (Ethernet Cable ) and 130-150 mbps Wifi depending where I am in the house...but that's darn good coverage with a pretty stable signal strength for the square footage we have here.
Important thing to know is this...if you have more than prolly 8 devices at any given time and have gamers in your house and/or guest over a lot....I would give this guy a shot. You can regulate a seperate password/wifi name for Guest Network and in the meantime you leave your chosen devices synced up to your prioritized 5 ghz lines.
This way, if your lazy relative is playing clans of whoever sitting on your couch...he deals with any possible internet drag..while you on the other hand...well...your on that freed up 5 ghz line plowing right through movies/video games.
So this router is big to me because for the price point, its hard to find a tri-band router thats this solid at this low price. It lets you dictate your devices and their connection individually and even set a guest network so people cant actually access your main wifi network.
I havent had it but a few weeks but I will let you all know if it just turns to crap on me.

So powerful it messes up our TVs sometimes!

We have ATT uverse tv which is all wireless. The wireless access point for all the TVs in the house sits to the right of this awesome Linksys router. I can tell when my daughter is streaming something large from her room because her room is way to the right of this router. The Linksys shapes its signal to provide her with the best speed through the most powerful signal it can muster so she can stream / download as fast as possible. How can I tell when she's downloading or streaming from her room? Because the Linksys completely overpowers the ATT tv access point which causes all the TVs in the house to freeze. It doesn't matter what channel the Linksys is on - it blasts so much signal the ATT thing can't overcome it. It doesn't do this any other time except when she's in her room which is directly in line with the ATT thing. Pretty good testimony to the power of this router. I'm going to have to move ATT's wimpy AP.
I currently own two of these. I bought one for the house as described above and one for my office. When I'm arriving at work I get WiFi way out in the street. Much further than I ever did with my old router.
