Lifesaver for wood stairs!

We have a 90lb golden retriever that was TERRIFIED of the wood steps we added in our basement renovation. We were so scared she would slip or try skipping steps and hurt herself. Pros: The grey color is exactly as the images show. The pile is short and easy to vacuum. I haven't had to deal with any stains so far, but I doubt we'd have an issue. Cons: we have chosen not to use any tape/adhesive for the sake of saving our steps. With the decision, I do find myself having to straighten the threads every few days or so. They do not move when anyone is walking on them, it's more when my toddler comes down the stairs sliding on his rear. TIP: these did come with a bump where they folded during shipping. We used water bottles for a couple of days to have them level out. Looked a little funny, but did the trick!

These are great for the price. I bought the gray stair treads and the gray 30 X 30 mat to match. These fit really well on my stairs (average size). The colors are exactly the same for the mat and treads. The stairs don't have tape on the back (nor do they come with tape), but do have a strong rubber, so they don't require any sort of extra tape.
I do suggest that you look at the "Used" options (for both the stair treads and matching mat), as these are not too expensive, but who doesn't like to save a little money on the same items? I was able to buy the stair treads, for $30 cheaper, "Used," and they came in perfect condition.

We were hesitant to purchase these after some of the other reviews. We have 3 dogs, one elderly who was slipping going up on the hardwood stairs and fell down a number of times going down. We bought the carpet tape to tape them down since it said it would not damage the hard wood floors. We have not used the tape yet. Our dogs are bounding up the stairs and the treads are not moving. We placed them against the back of the stair and no movement. I have taken each one off to dust the stairs and still, not moving. My son with work boots....he move them slightly but did not affect our dog's ability to navigate the stairs. Thank you! We could not be more pleased. And, if after washing, we need to use the tape we bought, so be it.

These treads serve the purpose I bought them for (our older dog no longer slips on our wooden steps). They really do collect a lot of hair quickly (which is to be expected if you have shedding fur babies). I take the treads down to the carpeted living room and vacuum them there (a lint brush doesn't quite cut it). They move a little, but not excessively (I probably straighten them out a little once a week or so). I feel they are a nice size and attractive on the stairs (when they are hair free). I've had these for over 6 months and they are holding up very well (I feel the price is justified).

These stay in place nicely (with no adhesive to ruin your wood)! We had some other brand that moved all over the place, and it was more dangerous than having nothing at all. I no longer worry about my kids tumbling down the very slippery stairs. They look nice and feel nice walking on them them in bare feet.
