Instead of a carpet runner, having these individual runner pads allowed us to make sure each stair had even coverage regardless of the height and run of the stair. Great solution for quickly getting narrow stairs to a pet friendly status.

After trying several carpet treads that curled up at the edges and created a worse tripping hazard than the slippery wood, these finally worked. Thay lay flat. They have some grip. But I put one tack in each side. Nice and thick and soft too. Seem to pretty durable so far. Hard to find quality treads at a decent price, but I would recommend these.
