The same as the other reviewer Tracy, I have used these in the construction of multiple custom home made soap cutters.
The strength of the wires is strong and can be tightened very well without any issues. I do have to cut off the circular ends but that is no real issue.
The main loaf of soap I am cutting is close to 12 pounds and there are no issues at all with these wires supporting and cutting right through it.
