It Does The Job

I didn't have many negative photos to scan, but in case I ever found more, I figured this could be useful. I didn't really know very much about negatives, and I found the various sizes to be confusing. This does a good job of scanning the "smaller" negative photos. I scanned all of the smaller ones, such as the 110's, with those scanner and had to use an old printer with a negative scanner to scan the medium sized negative photos. Everyone seemed impressed with the results of the scanning with this scanner, as I shared the old family photos with others.
My best bit of advice is learn what types of negatives you have that need to be scanned, and go from there.

Oh so easy and fun to use! Quick scanning sure beats a flatbed scanner!

This little negative/film scanner is awesome. If you're technically inclined you can pull it right out of the package and start using it. I found a box of old black and while 35 mm negatives that belonged to my dad and this gem of a machine made quick work of getting them scanned and into my computer. It even comes with a brush (really a padded wand) to clean your negatives first. I also scanned some unmounted color 35 mm slides. They came out great as well as could be expected as they have deteriorated a bit over the years. This scanner is tiny but packs a big punch. Thank you magnasonic for helping me to free the contents of these negatives from the 1950's. I have now seen pictures that I have never seen before.

I returned this product because the holders for the slides and negatives were too difficult for me to open to insert my slides. I do have arthritis so it may only be a problem for me personally. Also the one slide I viewed was not magnified so I actually could not determine who was in the photo.
Again I did not take time to read the directions etc. siinceI knew I could not use the product because of my condition so I did not persist in becoming familiar with it's use.

I love it !!! Could be a little heavier but it works really well for all my 40 yr old negatives and slides. Haven't tried the 8mm film yet but I'm sure I'll be thrilled. Best little investment yet !!!! Instructions are complicated and need to be more clear, but I easily figured it out. If the photo is shot correctly, there is no need to edit. I can rely on Lightroom and Photoshop !!!
