I tried different methods to try and remove my beautiful Bichon's (unsightly) tear stains and nothing really seemed to work well. I found an ad for Petpost and since the product itself is inexpensive, I decided to order it via Amazon. Honestly, I did not have high expectations for the product to work but was going to try it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from the company before I got the product with "how to" instructions. The product sat under my sink for a couple of months before I remembered that I bought it. I FINALLY followed the simple directions and used it as instructed. Honestly, I noticed a slight difference right away with the removal of the "gunk" and the stain lightened as the days went by. Within the first 10 days, you could hardly tell the stains were there. I now use it a couple of times a week versus everyday for maintenance. My Bichon is high maintenance and a big baby so it took me a few extra minutes on each eye in the beginning. Make sure the cotton is saturated and go over the stain many times like instructed for a couple of minutes. I do love that it is natural ingredients and was a big reason I bought it but be careful not to get any in the eyes. I took a clean piece of cotton and wiped the eyes after each time. For the people who posted that it doesn't work, I cannot help but wonder if it was done incorrectly or not long enough. It does take some patience especially if the tear staining is bad like my Bichon's was. I would give it another try. This is truly a great tear stain remover. My only regret was not starting the product sooner!

didn't get the miraculous results as other reviewers. It did clean the gunky build up that caused the stains but didn't actually remove the stains. My dog doesn't seem to mind the daily face cleaning. This is more pricey than the local pet store products but it did work a little better than those. Maybe with prolonged use, it will improve more. Been only using it for 5 wks.
Rec'd inquiry from Mike at Petpost re:my 3 star rating - to me, a 3 is neutral/fair - not bad, not great. As I do plan to continue using the product, and actually have another on order, a 4 star is appropriate. There are lots of eye stain removers, I've tried 3 brands before Petpost.
Those did nothing. At least Petpost did lighten the stains somewhat and did perform better than the others. From the glowing reviews, I was expecting a "wow" but got "good, not great" Still better than other products.

The Petpost tear stain remover for dogs helps a lot in getting my Maltipoo's face clean. It doesn't really take away the stains, but it does help keep him clean. He loves the taste so much that I have to fight with him to get him to not lick it. He's hilarious! Also, I have asthma and I really needed something that didn't have a bad or harmful smell. Not just for me, but for my dog as well. The Petpost tear stain remover does not have a harsh smell at all. It actually smells very nice. I will buy it again. Thank you for selling this non-harmful product.

My pug was starting to develop tear stains and I purchased this product on the recommendation of my groomer. I will not call it a "miracle" but I have seen some improvement in her fur. Did it get rid of everything? No. But I will continue to use it as part of her grooming routing.

This is another product that was ordered by subscription via Prime. I don't need more than 1 every 6 months.
