I had my partner put this out on our front porch steps and wheelchair ramp before the latest snow. We got 10" of snow that will, of course, turn into ice as it melts. The snow on the steps and ramp where we spread this has yet to do so - it's still just the powdery fluff. So far so good.
Works well and delivery was fast.

Works well on concrete surfaces. Very nice container, with a handy pour out spout. Safe for pets. Not recommended for wooden surfaces. I would have given a higher rating based solely on the performance, however, it seems a bit pricey.

Bought this for just in case since we dont get much snow in Virginia Beach. Used it a few weeks later on part of my 2 car driveway and porch(door area) and it seems to work well. I wish the pellets were a little finer it would make it easier to apply and get a larger area. Will see in a few days if it stained my concrete.

I do not like this product as much as I do with Pet Safe. It stayed on my deck long after the snow and eye was gone. It did a good job getting the ice removed but I did not like it stayed on top of my deck for a long time.
Effective but would purchase larger pack size next time

Very effective at melting snow and ice, and even prevents snow/ice from forming overtop if it's left in place from the previous application. Also really love that it's environmentally and pet friendly. I personally liked the color because it helped me see where I've already applied it.
The downsides are that it's quite costly for the amount you're getting, I'm already over halfway done the 10 lb tub and have only used it on two applications of my sidewalk and front porch stairway. Would definitely go with a larger pack size next time for cost-effectiveness.
