I have a number of Hurricane products and all of them are first rate. Like most lathe tools, I reshaped this scraper to better fit my personal needs and turning style. I find that this scraper holds an edge quite well even though I put a negative rake on it. The steel is a reasonable grade and takes to the grinding process well. This is a hefty tool best used on large turnings.
