The original Ensure tastes like a "can of vitamins", a very medicinal taste. This is more like a vanilla milkshake and is a complete meal. Just toss it in the freezer, and shake it up, and you have a healthy milkshake that is a meal. One year for Lent, this was my entire diet for 46 days, and the taste kept me on it. The vanilla is a decent base if you want to add Strawberry Nestle's Quik (I have a service dog, so no chocolate in the house to prevent accidents...but Chocolate would work as well). I have bought this many times and will again.
