A guest or customer may have over pushed the handle - now the unit leaks when turned on for cold or hot water.

I would like to return this item because it doesn't mount on the sink from the bottom like the picture shows. Can I get a replacement that is like what the picture is showing with the mounting point from the bottom of the faucet. this is why I purchased this item because of the mounting point?

trickle shower...

big underflow version: used as an emergency shower with a slow trickle of cold NYC winter water. you control the temperature with water flow. I cut off the end of the faucet and used adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007AGOM3S/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489975016&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=u138lfa&dpPl=1&dpID=41qxto27FQL&ref=plSrch) on the end. (also available at home depot.) I used a small pipe cutter. once cut, you have to shape the pipe back to a circular shape because it is soft and gets misshapened while cutting. the adapter mentioned above then fits the cut end perfectly and gives you a standard 1/2" npt pipe end. you then have each end with 1/2" npt. both of which fits standard hands held shower hoses and showers heads. connect the handheld shower hose to the input, and put your showerhead to the output(of the newly attached adapter). hang the curved pipe over your shower stall/rod; trickle shower. the instructions say to turn to cold to avoid scalding on next use, but I noticed if you switch from hot to cold the heating element remains on(in cold setting.) You need to switch from hot to off, then to cold as a two step process as opposed to hot to cold. important: if the heating element remains on while handle is turned to cold, it wont stop heating even if you stop water flow to the device as it does when the handle is turned to the hot side. I'll take a warm trickle shower over...
