Update October 2017: My most recent order has provided several bags which have torn at the connecting spot between bag and closure, very disappointing. Not only do they smell weird but they are not nearly as well made as the former (blue) style. I still have some blue bags left and the quality difference is remarkable- I can *feel* the difference between the two. So I change my review to not so great from earlier
Ring refills are better

The regular Munchkin Refill Rings are much better. I guess these save you from having to cut and re-tie your bag, but the snap-closure system is actually a lot more trouble: you have to open the inner lid, snap the ring closed, twist and drop it through, then open the main door and pull it out. It's about as much trouble as putting in a new ring, but you have to do it 9 times as often. And the snap system is not as good at containing odor as a simple knot.

Before I had my baby I did an unbelievable amount of research about everything. Partly because I'm a new mom, and partly because I am crazy OCD and fully Monica Geller.
The Diaper Genie had some good reviews, but this one had MUCH better reviews on multiple sites and it was so much cheaper! It was a no brainer. We got it at Babies R Us. The refills are a little more difficult to find. You can get a pack of 20 at Babies R Us for twenty-something, and you can get them on Amazon for $19 for 20 or just under $16 if you subscribe, which always saves you money.
I have never ONCE smelled a dirty diaper in the nursery and there have been some disgusting diapers in there. I also grap the poop diapers with regular dog poop bags but I don't tie them or anything.
This was the best decision we made.

These seem to have taken the place of the blue snap diaper pail bags, and I do not like them as well. They are thinner plastic than the blue ones, and they are scented with lavender. It's not terribly overpowering, but I really wish they were still unscented. I have no asthma/allergy issues personally, but I could see the scent as a potential problem for some.
However, there are a lot of things that I like about this bag and pail system. It's very easy to use, keeps the smell in very well, and there are not a bunch of individual bags like some pails, so there is no set number of diapers that you can fit in each bag. You can cram the bag quite full before you have to change it.
In short, it will do the trick well if you don't mind the scent, but it would be so great if Munchkin could make another unscented version.

The other reviews are correct- ever since Munchkin Arm & Hammer decreased their box size to 20 (charging us more per bag) and revamped their bag design, these things are worthless. Never once in the years that I used the old style of bag did one of them rip. This new style? EVERY FREAKEN BAG RIPS!! Leaving you with a pail of sh!tty diapers. So why not just use a regular trash bin?? I will be switching to the Diaper Genie system.
