Great range, set your own "auto-shut-off" time.

This pic was taken from behind our 2003 CRV in the Mayo Clinic parking lot. I was able to remote start the car from 300+ yards away through double-pane windows on the 3rd floor ( see red arrow ).
Ask your installer to set the "shut-off" time for 10 mins. ( we had BB install ) if you get sidetracked, it will automatically shut-off after 10 mins., keeping your car from overheating. We lock our doors, then start the car as we're walking into a grocery store or fast-food restaurant when it's 100+ here in AZ.

I had use Bulldog security remote starter for about 20 years , this time i decided to try something different so i got this Avital 4105L and was so pleased that it is so easy to install and operate, with little search i found my car's wires color chart, followed the QUICK REFERENCE INSTALL GUIDE , took me about 30 minutes total to get it working. I think i found my new brand of remote starters from now.
Awesome upgrade to our diesel truck!!

This is working great for us so far! I got this for my husband for Christmas so he can start the truck from the house and let it warm up. It has a delay start, which is necessary for diesel trucks. We have a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD and also got the Xpresskit GMDLBP to incorporate the OEM alarm. Note that not every wire needs to be connected, only the ones that will be used with the system. It seems obvious, but the instructions are lacking in that way. Also, we thought it would be great to set it up to have the driver door unlock with one push of the button and the rest of the doors unlock with a second push, but we found that it actually required several button pushes to get all doors to unlock. I recommend just setting it up so that all the doors unlock at the same time.
Inexpensive, but nice!

Working great, so glad I installed this for this winter season. Not for a casual DIYer, be aware that this complicated and can be very time consuming to install. Research before purchase about any additional modules that may be required for your vehicle. Numerous programmable features available to suit anyone.
Not for the DIYer

I have installed many car stereos over the years, some simple and some advanced. Maybe it was the particular car in which I tried to install this, but it was way more complicated than what I had seen. Support was also nonexistent for DIY installation. I have no comment about how it worked, since it was returned & never installed.
