I rarely write a negative review. I have been using lavender oil for more than 20 years, and have noticed plenty of variation in the scent from one batch to another, but this is the first time I have ever suspected strongly that a product was fake, or was diluted with a cheaper oil. By 'diluted' i would say that - based on lack of potency alone - this oil may be as little as 5 or 10% lavender oil, and 90 to 95% carrier oil. I regret not taking the time to read some of the many negative reviews here. If you read a dozen or so of the one star reviews, you will notice that they are written mostly by people who have some experience with lavender oil, and who know how strong it is supposed to be. Had I opened it sooner, I would have returned it. Also, I'm baffled by the manufacturer's use of a plastic bottle - real lavender oil is too intense, and would easily burn through the HDPE (high density polyethylene) in which this stuff is packaged. It's interesting to note that the seller hasn't responded (as far as I can see) to any of the dozens of expressions of concern that the product they are selling is counterfeit or otherwise extremely poor quality.

**What it is and why it's good**
1. Great value! Normally, 8 oz of essential oils would cost about double what this one costs I bought mine for $13.95. I've been using this stuff for about 8 hours a day for a couple weeks now, and I've barely made a dent in this bottle. It seems it will last me a very long time.
2. It does come with the plastic dropper, which is nice.
3. It has a great smell! It's very spa-like. I also bought the Now brand Orange Oil, but I like this Lavender Oil so much better in terms of smell.

**A little side-note about humidifiers, in case you're wondering about how much electricity they use and if you should lower your usage of humidifiers (and hence use less oil)**
You'll see in my pic I was using an electricity meter to test my humidifier's electricity use, because I live in California where electricity prices are through-the-roof. Apparently, my humidifier would only cost me just over $1 for a year to run it at a high usage level. Compare this to those Glade plug-ins, which use a ton of electricity. I'm throwing my plug-in out and will be buying more bottles of this Heavenly Lavender Oil, which really does smell heavenly. I always read reviews before purchasing and find some quite helpful, so I hope you find this review helpful!

I ordered this despite being skeptical about the quality of the product. It seems everyone who gave it a good review stated that they were given the item either for free, or for a discount in exchange for an "honest" review. The negative reviews I read did not include this disclaimer. Interesting.

The item arrived on time, nice packaging. And, it included the little dropper that everyone raves about in the reviews. Those were the only pluses where this product was concerned. It was very oily, unlike any lavender oil I've ever dealt with before. Essential oils are not usually oily, despite what the name implies. They usually have the consistency of rubbing alcohol. Thicker than water, but not slippery. This stuff was Oily with a capitol "O". It also doesn't smell like any of the lavender EO's I've had experience with. More perfume-y, didn't smell as natural. I make and sell all-natural, chemical-free, mostly organic (as ingredients allow) bath products. This was not an item I felt at all comfortable including in my products. The label says it is 100% lavender oil, but there's no way I can believe this given my extensive experience with EO's, I threw it away because this vendor obviously doesn't subscribe to truth in advertising (or labeling), and there's no way in h*ll I'm going to use this personally, or sell my products with this oil included since I have no idea what this item is actually made of. Previous reviewers state 1) that when they used this product to make a batch of soap, the soap was taking forever to cure. That was probably because of the carrier oil in this product throwing off the fat/lye ratio in the batch. Others said that when they tried to use it in their EO scent diffusers, the diffusers clogged, again...this is probably a result of carrier oils in this product clogging things up. Pure EO's, as this one claims to be, don't have added oils.

Oh, and the little dropper that's included that everyone is going nuts over? They sell them at Bulk Apothecary, 10 for $1.95.

Giving this 1 star because I couldn't give it the deserved zero stars for the lack of honesty in it's ingredients.

We have used multiple brands of lavender essential oils as well as the mixtures. For the price, this product did wonders. My wife was pregnant and we went through a few bottles of this stuff. Her feet and hands would swell every day from activity, even minor, so I rubbed this in her and she would sleep much better. I also rubbed it on her back, which she claims it helped a ton. I will continue to recommend this product to family and friends alike!

I used this EO for soaping, as I do most of my EOs. I tried out this brand due to the fact that I could get twice as much (8oz) for a few dollars more than my regular brand (4oz). I got what I paid for, I guess. This oil not only smells off, but even after mixing a 4oz bottle of my regular EO, this oil wrecked multiple batches of soap. Being that I sell the soap, I have almost 40 slightly off lavender scented bars that are taking very long (much longer than normal) to cure. Even after rebatching and adding more oil, they still smell "off" and are not a strong scent for the amount that is in there. I would not recommend or buy this product again.
