The mfg coats the insiode of the axle with about 1/32" white paint and no amount of sanding will get it out. The wheel has a slot for the keyway so you can't get a reamer to takethe paint out and it won't fit on the axle because of the paint. Shame on me for waiting too long to return it... Hopefully someone else won't get stuck with one.

Be aware that the paint will make it impossible for you to install the wheel into the axis. I had to sand the area of the wheel where the axle goes into in oder to install these wheels/tires. Also be aware that axle spacers will be needed.
It seems the seller should show the buyer what the hub looks like. Now I have to find the correct key ...

I bought this for my Craftsman Lawn Tractor model # 247.288852. Not sure it fits at this point due to needing 2 square keys to lock the hub onto the axle so that the wheel will engage when put into gear. It seems it would have came with the proper key, it didn't. Plus the photo of the wheel has the label covering up the hub. It seems the seller should show the buyer what the hub looks like. Now I have to find the correct key before I can see if the wheel will fit my lawn tractor. The only good thing I can say is that the price is right if it fits your lawn tractor. I've attached a photo of a packet of keys. Problem is not knowing what size I need.

Do not buy this tire for Craftsman! You have to bore out the steel to make it work, and then you change the dynamics of the grove the steel pin slides into.I eventually took the tire to a service station, had the tire removed from the rim and reinstalled on the old existing rim.
Buy tires only and use your existing rims!!!!
