Love this filter: very versatile in that you can use it (1) with a bucket for gravity fed water when camping or (2) when hiking, it is small enough to fit into pack or pocket and easily filters water into a water bladder/water/soda bottle. This will filter most harmful concerns in the water for us that live in North America. Great product for a great price!
Easy and effective (I think)

It took me a bit of time to learn how to use this product. I thought I'd be able to suspend a quart bottle of unfiltered water from a tree and let gravity cause the water to filter through into a pot. Nope. Instead I use a couple of 20 oz soft drink bottles. Fill one with lake water, attach the filter, invert it, and squeeze the filtered water into the other bottle. Easy.
I know that the water has gone from one bottle to the other. I guess I have to assume that the filter is actually doing something useful since the lake water I filter is probably clean enough to drink safely anyway!
