Love These Yellow Fogs, I Bought Em For My Dad's Tacoma, & Have Em In My Evo. Great Chip LEDs For The Price!!

Lights look great hopefully they last a long time.

My Subaru STI came with a set of what appears to be an ebay fog light kit that was installed by the previous owner. I had never really used them in the past because the light output was pretty dismal but since recently I had upgraded my high beams and reverse lights to LEDs, I really started to like the appearance, output, and the lower current demand of LEDs. Initially I was going to purchase a set of replacement H7 LED bulbs from a well known company that I purchased my other LEDs from. Although I had been pleased with the high beams and reverse lights I was disappointed to learn from them that their LED H7 fog light bulb output was actually lower than OEM. Since my fog lights originally had Osram bulbs, I figured it would be a huge downgrade in usability.

Not wanting to purchase an expensive downgrade, I decided to look on Amazon for additional options and went with these. These are much cheaper and I am very pleased with the results! Initially I was a bit worried with the other reviews stating fitment issues, but I was pleasantly surprised with how great the fitment was and how smooth the installation went. I also immediately noticed an improvement in useable light output!

Paired with a nice light up fog light switch that looks almost OEM, I now have a very nice looking fog lights setup that I also use as daytime running lights.

I installed these in my 1992 525iT fog lights and they're really great.
I'm think they're brighter than the standard halogens, but due to the color and the spread of the light, it is hard to tell. They're definitely not dimmer.
Compared to HIDs (which are in my headlights) the instant-on effect is pleasant, as is the lack of need for external ballasts. The 4300K HIDs I use seem to have a blue cast compared to so many yellow night-time lights, and I like that the pure yellow of the fogs brings that down to appear more like a 4000K or 3700K coloration. It looks more natural and illuminates things with better color rendering.

The only downside of these for me was that they likely appeared as open circuits to my car's lighting control module, so it displayed a warning. My half-educated guess is that it sends a low power test, but with insufficient forward voltage to pass through the diodes, hence appearing as open circuits. I had to mod my LKM (single wire shunt to ground) to disable the warning. It will never warn me when my fogs are not-operational, but it's really stupidly obvious when they are anyway.

Excellent LEDs for a great price. You might need a warning-disabler though.
