Some advice and caveats.....
E. Hayner•January 12, 2018
A few things:
1).Take the faceplate off the wall mount and do your programming at the kitchen table or wherever. There's no need to stand in front of the thing while it's on the wall; just snap it back in to place when you're done.
2). The copy feature is ok, but is more or less a bell and whistle. On a weekday to weekday basis our needs don't need changing. A simple weekday/weekend feature is all that most folks require.
3). There are features that, even as a handyman of thirty years who has installed countless thermostats, perplex me.
4) Set up for this always requires the manual. Speaking of which, AMAZON, why not get the manufacturer to provide a link to the online manual for these and other things?
5) The damn thing still still isn't working properly after 4 tries at reprogramming: I've now handed to my wife to figure it out.
I fear very much she will prove herself to be smarter than I am. Damn you Orbit!

Easy programming.

I needed a thermostat that I can program to heat / cool (although my cooling system is too expensive for me, every time you turn around, electric rates go up ^2, relative to income, if the rate doesn't go up, it's the base charge, because they spent soooo much money for improvements in the delivery / maintenance system).
This thermostat seemed to just do what I needed and the price was reasonable, too.
Programming isn't all that difficult either, as long as you keep track of what you are setting.
To program heating, just select the heating mode, set your values (guided by firmware), make sure you know what day you program. Next select copy "ALL" and the just programmed values are used for each day of the week. Your mileage may vary!
If the every day same setting, doesn't work for you, perhaps on the weekend. Just modify the weekend settings!
Same goes for cooling...
Pros: Works with many heating / cooling systems, easy to program, changeable temp offset, manual / automatic cycle time, back light, no Common wire required.
Cons: I believe it uses batteries for backlight and possibly parameter backup.

Easy to read digital 7 day thermostat but perhaps too sensitive
Thomas A. Elliott•August 19, 2017
Easy to read display. 7 day programmability makes this thermostat perfect for a weekend home, saves energy while you're away and gets it back to being cozy when you arrive. Modern and fresh looking design. Easy to install if you're comfortable with low voltage wiring. Works with conventional AC or heat pumps, gas or electric furnace. Very accurate temperature readout. Since it is digital it isn't sensitive to being mounted perfectly level or turning on or off due to vibration or the wall its mounted on being bumped. Uses 2-AA batteries to maintain clock and program during power outages.
One issue with this thermostat is the lack of a swing setting. My AC once it reached the set temperature would then cycle on for 30 -45 seconds and kick off. Too sensitive in my opinion. You can;t set a 1 or 2 degree swing setting and there is no minimum number of system run minutes (such as 2 or 5). I switched to another brand that has swing setting adjustments and minimum run time settings. A shame because other than those two things this is a pretty nice thermostat. I just couldn't live with the too frequent short-cycling.

Accurate, modern, easy to install and operate

UPDATE: almost a year later I saw a couple of glitches. To be more specific - although the set temperature changed to, let's say - 76F from 78F at 4 pm, the compressor wouldn't start even two hours later, and I had to turn the thermostat if off and back on for the change to take effect. The batteries are in good shape so the only problem was the thermostat itself. It doesn't happen often and I'm monitoring it but I emailed the manufacturer and in a few days they sent me a replacement, without any hassle or trouble. I am still keeping the 5 stars and I will keep you updated if anything changes.
ADVICE for conventional heating: I had a problem when I had to turn the heating on, 2 month after I installed the thermostat. But it wouldn't work. Nothing moved, no heat, no blower. I also don't have a heat pump, but conventional AC heating (I believe the coils heat up). Anyway, I read the manual again and found the problem: there is a jumper on the back of the thermostat that, in my case was set on "oil/gas heat" and you have to move it to "electric heat". Don't miss this step :)
So far it brought a much needed feel of new to our living room and seems to be working just fine. I suspected that my old thermostat was way off (I know for sure now...) and I installed it with central AC and heating without heat pump.
DETAILS:
* didn't come with batteries
* 15 minutes to install (once I had the wires on the other side of the wall)
* comes with peel off labels to put on the wires so you don't mess up during installation
* took me 10-15 minutes to set it by following the directions
* if you touch it (hold it) the temperature will immediately increase (it's very sensitive) and it will take up to 30 minutes to settle
* large screen and nice, modern look and feel.
Should anything change, I'll be back with updates :)

Don't know if it's a trait or if it was my bad luck

Epic fail.... my first clue should have been the fact that it took 2 hours on the phone with the supplier to get this thing to work. A 25-year veteran HVAC guy said it was the worst he had worked with. We struggled months to get this thing to maintain an even temperature, the device periodically lost its mind and reset all of the programed logic. I plan on taking a sledgehammer to this device.
