Saves money, automates watering

This product works great. I had a pro come in to do the installation and initial setup. Make sure you have the right grass type, shade, etc set. I had to make adjustments after the first month because it seemed to be watering too much. Since then, we've gone through a Texas summer and the watering bill was 30% lower than last year. I had to turn off my rain sensor because it didn't seem to be working with the Rachio controller. Weather intelligence works 90% of the time, but sometimes it turns on during the rain because our closest weather station is a few miles away. Rachio support is great and responds quickly.

This Controller is amazing. Its everything you want from a sprinkler controller and more. I live about 4 miles from the monitored weather station and it knows the weather before I do. Very easy to use and extremely intuitive. I was concerned because I like to control the water cycles of my lawn. I reluctantly turned this responsibility over to this controller and couldn't be happier. I don't know how much water I saved but the convenience is well worth it. It didn't water at least 5 times (over the last month and a half) because of weather so I guess there will be huge savings. Truly a smart controller. I highly recommend!

Super easy to install and wifi setup was a breeze. No issues. So far I've had the system up and running almost 60 days and the weather prediction and water saver features are spot on. We get rain here in South Florida almost every day and this decice has already started saving me money. No more manual dial timer and wasted power and water. I love this! It was easy to replace my existing mechanical unit and only took about 15 minutes. The software set up is easy and intuitive. What I really love is that we travel a lot in the summer and always having the sprinklers on a fixed schedule I was either over or under watering even with a rain sensor so far the Rachio has recognized the local weather and adjusted accordingly. I also love the seasonal automatic adjustments. I am so happy to be able to travel without worrying that I was either wasting water or going to end up with a dead lawn.

WOW! Easy to install, easy to operate, and features to help minimize water runoff and waste. I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for watering efficiency, control of your watering through a smart phone, or if you are like me and have a hard time managing lawn watering when the temperature cools or on rainy days.
If there is one knock on the product it is the notches/insertion point for the zone wires. Pushing down on the notches to open up the space to insert the wire, are not built as strong as I think they could be. It could be possible that by pressing what one would consider reasonable force, would damage the notch. However, as long as you are careful, this should not be an issue.
The instruction manual was easy to follow and read. I am not a real handy person, but this product was super easy to install.
