I love this little fountain kit. It allows me to make an affordable fountain tailored perfectly for the space I want it in. Another reviewer tipped me off to the ability to alter the tone of the fountain by placing various stones and shells in configurations where the water hits. It's really interesting to hear the various sounds that different stones and shells make when the water hits them. The fountain is beautiful to look at and relaxing to listen to. I am rechecking the reviews to see what people have said about keeping the water fresh, as I am getting a little slime. I need to work with that, but trust I will find a solution. This is a GREAT PURCHASE. Once I get the water slime matter understood, I will definitely be ordering more fountain kits.

I like to have a tabletop fountain in the house... the sound of trickling water is relaxing to me. I've gone through several of the store bought fountains made primarily of "resin". When the last one died, I saw an opportunity to make one of my own. I bought a planter at the hardware store, a couple of small stalks of live bamboo and some extra river rocks to go along with the ones I had saved from the old fountains. Now I have a homemade Zen garden in my living room. This adjustable bamboo fountain works perfectly and gives the fountain a rustic look.

I had a little difficulty finding just the right pot. This is not very large, and the pump is very, very small. However, it is in a small hosta garden outside a screen porch and I love the sound of it at night ... might even consider bringing it in for the winter.

Well, it worked for a little while. When it did, it was very pretty. Nice sounds at any distance from a bowl of water, but then it clogged for the final time and the pump started to fail.

This fountain is solid, very easy to set up(I used my own bowl), and looks and sounds great...very relaxing and perfect volume. So buy it.
