Great mummy, great price and great company commitment

When this bag arrived I was surprised at how small and light it is no bigger than an old pack of CD blanks. I followed the unpacking instructions and it fluffed up nicely. The zipper is very good and sturdy. I got into the bag and was surprised at the fit. I am 5'6" weighing about 200 pounds. The foot box is generous to keep my feet warm. The compression bag is of the same material and works well. The bag is water resistant. There are instructions on how to make it water proof. I have not taken it on a trip yet, but I do look forward to it. By the way, the company follows up with you to be sure you are satisfied and will be sure you have all of the proper care instructions to keep your bag in top shape.
Well, well, well.

I purchased this inexpensive down sleeping bag for a planned backpacking trip in southern Utah. The weather was forecasted in the forties but upon arrival proved to be a lot cooler in fact it was in the high twenties. The win was the sustained 30 miles an hour and I packed a tarp for shelter.
The first night it rained luckily I had sought shelter under a cliff overhang and sleeping on a Z lite pad I was totally warm. That night the temperature got to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. The next night was even cooler with a temperature of 29 degrees with wind gusts over 40 miles an hour. That night I slept in the open on my Z Lite pad and was comfortably warm. To tell the truth the only reason I knew it was cold was because my backpacking partner was complaining about how cold it was which prompted me to break out my Kestrel windspeed/thermometer to actually see how cold it was. I literally would not have known it was that cold.
I have nothing but excellent things to say about this sleeping bag. It compresses down to very small and provided plenty of warmth for my trip. Five stars.

TL/DR: This bag is worth the weight and the money.

This being my first down sleeping bag, I am very happy with both the quality and the Hyke and Byke company.
So far I've only used this bag on one 5-day back country camping trip where the temperature only dipped down to about 30 degrees at night.
In a hammock: Although comfortable, I recommend using a sleeping pad. You will compress the down underneath you and the wind will steal heat away from you.
In a tent: Fits wonderfully in my 1-man Kelty tent. Due to the material of the bag, I did slip a little, but nothing unexpected.
On the ground with a pad: Couldn't have been more comfortable.
Space:
I am 5' 10" and have fairly wide shoulders. I had more than enough room in the foot box and could wear layers of clothes in the bag without feeling squeezed.
Price point:
Best value I have found for the quality, weight, and size when stored in the compression bag.
Durability:
No signs of rips or tears with rough use.
Is water resistant, but I wouldn't hang it off my pack in a rain storm.
Zipper did its job. No catching or breaking.
TL/DR:
This bag is worth the weight and the money. Support your independent businesses.

This sleeping bag was the perfect escape to warmth and comfort my body needed during a cold weather extended hike. I looked forward to slipping in to this sleeping bag again from the moment I got out of it each morning! The footbox area kept my feet very warm, and the dimensions of the mummy-style bag were just loose enough to wiggle around and get comfortable in, but snug enough to be very cozy inside. The major feature I fell in love with in the draw string on the interior of the bag that draws the material in to your neck so that you have the option to cover your shoulders and cut off air entry at the neck, while leaving the head area exposed and open (or head area drawn - the neck drawstring provides and extra layer of assurance that cold air won't get in). The only issue I had with the sleeping bag was that I actually had to get out and pack it up in the morning, when I would have liked to just stay in it all day!
I will note that you do have to be gentle with the zipper, it can catch very easily. However, if you go slowly and take time to enjoy the warmth of your sleeping bag, it's no big deal.

Fantastic bag for the price. A great buy.

I took the bag on a recent backpacking trip (March/2017). One night, the temp got down to just under 20. I wasn't cold at all. I wore my usual stuff to sleep in, base layer on top and bottom and a sweatshirt. A number of reviews I had read mentioned the zipper getting stuck. I was careful zipping it closed and open and never had a problem. It was easy in the morning to roll up and get back into the compression sack. The durability of the outer shell seems good. My dog got in the tent and dug around making a bed, but didn't damage the bag. I even recommended the bag to one of my companions on the trip who was looking for a new, cold weather bag. I am 5'9" and 185 pounds and an average build - I fit in nicely. But not with a ton of extra room. If you have broad shoulders, you might consider the larger version. Overall, for the price and quality, you can't beat this sleeping bag and I would definitely recommend it and would buy it again.
