Not what i Thought or saw

I am not sure what kind of wine bottles are being used in the demo video for this product? but this product will not cut the wine bottles I have! I used a hand held glass cutting wheel from back in the 70's that still works great. The cutting blades on this devise are not good at all for the intended job i. I tried four bottles and the water process works but the cutting blades just don't cut deep enough into the glass.
Its awesome

It works superbly well, keep in mind not all bottles are equal, the ones I used have weird glass thicknesses so they broke weirdly, but all in all its superb. Do yourself a favor and buy extra sand paper if you intend to make more than just a few glasses.
Exactly what I wanted!

Seriously fantastic product. For anyone who has a basic understanding of how this product works, it's a breeeze. It only took me two tries to perfect a straight line cut and I can say that it is more successful if, when you're cutting, keep moving continuously, don't stop.
And also, when dipping your bottle in hot/cold/hot make sure you are QUICK. don't let it sit long in the hot as it will cause the cracks.

Do not buy! Waste of time and money

I had tried the string, alcohol fire method with no luck, so I decided to give this a try.
It works pretty well.. it's not perfect, and definitely takes some practice, so make sure you have a few bottles you don't mind messing up on.
After some trial and error runs the best method in my opinion is:
1. Make sure you made a good clean score on the bottle.
2. Have a pot of water boiling for the temperature change step.
3. After scoring the bottle, alternate between pouring the hot water on it, and then running it under cold sink water.
It doesn't always break clean.. but keep trying. After about 5 bottles, I finally was able to make a clean break, and made a planter.
