These are great, and easy to wear. I took off one star simply because the sizing seems to be an issue. There are many reviews that urge you to "size up" however, they are exactly as described on the chart, and I would not recommend sizing up unless your child is wearing VERY bulky clothing beneath the pads. My child was a 22 waist (size XS begins at 22.4) and they are very big, too big.

These things are pretty much a must for me snowboarding now. They have saved me from a broken tailbone practicing on rails more than once now. They are a bit bulky and take a while to break in but the padding is great and you don't really notice the bulk once you get going. Sizing felt accurate for me.
