The clear plastic protecting the thermometer on my unit was so clouded the temp was hard to read. This looked identical...nice large numbers, easy to read. Unfortunately it read 8 degrees hotter than the actual pool termperature.

This is a wonderful pool thermometer. It is easy to read. It floats . I don't have anything to tie it to so just put a rock in edge of pool to hold string. It is tasteful and look very unobtrusive as it bobs happily in the pool.

A good thermometer for the price. Has a tendency to lay sideways if you don't get all the air bubbles out. Fairly easy to read. String is not going to last long but I don't attach mine anyway. Does not get sucked into the skimmer if I keep the bubbles out and the device stays vertically aligned.

I bought this for our lake, so am a little concerned it may end up with too much algae. We had one for years that didn't get algae inside, but I can't remember where we got it. Glad to read previous review that this one can be cleaned. I'll upgrade the review if it's indeed easy to clean. I love the large size and easy read-out.
